Crusade is the most emotional movie, and it's not far behind Temple. But to me, it's "Raiders of the Lost Ark Lite", whereas I hear the phrase "go for broke", I think of "Temple of Doom". Spielberg and Lucas went after something different, and had a lot of cajones making that movie.

Definitely. I always liked how it was different from Raiders and explored a whole new mythology.

I hope the fifth gets made soon too, it'd be good if it at least got the greenlight this year, before Harrison gets too old. He can probably reprise Indy one final time.

Good to see Temple Of Doom getting some respect lately. We should start a fan club

On the subject, who's your favorite Indy villain as well? Mola Ram is easily mine. Pure evil from top to bottom.

Mola Ram was a good villain for exactly that reason. Nothing complicated about him, just bad. And he's effective without much screentime.

My favorite is Belloq. He was very much the anti-Indiana Jones. He shared a love affair with history.

Belloq is awesome, too. I like that he and Indy share numerous parallels. He'd probably be my second favorite villain after Mola Ram.

Mola Ram is easily the most evil villain in the series for sure. He was right out of a Horror movie.

I thought both the villains, especially the Nazi General Vogel were both great, but Mola Rom edges it for me, he scared me as a kid!

Mola Rom was a great villain but he was in the worst of the series IMO.

Raiders of the Lost Ark
The Last Crusade
Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Temple of Doom (Kate Capshaw was virtually unbearable)

^ That's my exact list as well. I thought Crystal Skull was way better than Temple of Doom.

I wonder if there's more people who like TLC the least, even with KOTCS in the mix? I still really like the film but I feel it was too comedic at times and too deriative of the first movie, and I find the villains in it pretty boring. KOTCS IMO had a much more interesting nemesis with Spalko.

I prefer Doom myself but in my argument I think 'Doom' had Ford at his physical peak. The man was in awesome shape, moreso than in 'Raiders'. Also he was in his A game in the role. I think it's unfair to compare the two Fords, since the 'KOTCS' Ford was much older, but too bad he was sidelined in the second half of the film. He almost because a supporting character.

Too bad Spalko was underused, which is a shame considering Cate in the role.

She could've been better developed for sure but I thought she was still a pretty effective villain. IMO she was a much better female antagonist than Elsa.

Hey, let's not forget the creepy Herman Dietrich. You can see the Bond influence with this over-the-top character. Too bad they never said his name in 'Raiders'.

The thing about Beloq is that he's an understated villain. Well besides his very apparent comic book 'villainy laugh' in the first 10 minutes of 'Raiders', he's a very..complex, misguided person who has a slight moral compass. He's too spineless to be proactive when he sees an injustice, like Marion being tossed into the snake pit with Indy. At that point, he's as bad as the Nazi general.

He's the only Indy villian with depth. He along with Dietrich were very memorable.

I like Mola Ram because he's straight up pulpy. I can easily see him in a serial in the 30's or a pulp magazine. He's just damn evil and he strangely works. I wish there were more scenes with him though. More of his motivations, or even more evil speeches of being evil.

Dietrich I always felt was kind of an underrated and overlooked villain, but I guess when you have Belloq and Toht in the same film that's what happens, another good villain gets overlooked.
