Are you thinking...

...that Judith was the little girl Rick shot in the pilot episode? That's interesting, although in that scene Rick is still in his clean-shaven cop uniform.

That was when Rick stopped to find gas on his way to find Lori and Carl.

Think they meant the bloody baby seat T-Dog ran into in the season 2 opener.

Anyways I think it would be much more interesting to see Judith raise up in the world, in fact if the series ended with just Daryl and Judith together on the road surviving like Lee and Clem from the Telltale game, I'd be good.

Yes, the baby seat. There was nothing obvious there but all the implication left to what happened makes it clear.

The Entertainment Weekly cover makes mention of "new zombies" in season 4. This is literally true, and marks another departure from the comic....
Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
Early in season 4, a different type of walker is encountered. These zombies are slightly more cunning and animalistic in their behavior instead of just being mindless shamblers.
I think this is our first look at this new type of walker in the trailer:

That's a departure from the comics that I don't mind.

David Goyer will direct an episode.

Quote:
We caught up with Goyer at last night's DC Entertainment party, and he told us:
I'm doing a Walking Dead this year — the penultimate episode [of the season]. I haven't gotten my script yet... I heard it's an episode where something really bad happens.
He also mentioned that they offered him his choice of episodes, and he opted for the second-to-last episode of the season, because he feels like those are usually the best and most interesting outings, where a lot of stuff happens.

The trailer was such a dissapointment.

No Woodberry
No Governor
No Rape
No Excessive Violence

Just the group trying to survive in the prison. Seems like this season is going to be slow as hell and boring up until the mid-season episode when they possibly introduce Governor back.

Or, you know, The Governor's whereabouts and whether or not he'll return was left a mystery (to everyone that doesn't follow the development of the show online) last season. And they're saving that reveal for the actual show instead of the trailer.

Why would they show Woodbury? The Governor, Martinez, and Shumpert are who knows where. All of his other people are dead. The rest of the residents went to the Prison. There's nobody important there anymore. Unless Governor's come back, and again, probably saving that reveal for the show.

The excessive violence usually occurs when it involves a character's death. Which they can't show in a trailer. There's no reason to get excessive with a blow to the head.

And even if they did include rape in the show, why did you think they would show that to an all-ages crowd at Comic-Con?

You just had very unrealistic expectations for a trailer. It teased what's coming without giving away too much. Which is what a trailer is supposed to do.

Its like people watched the trailer but don't pay attention. They mention Woodbury, they said its lost.

So, you've deduced that this season will be slow as hell and boring... Because they didn't include rape in the trailer?

I actually like that it seems like it will be smaller in scale, more psychological, horror movie-esque.

Wonder if B&N didn't order any featuring Carl b/c the character isn't exactly a fan favorite on the show. Unlike Rick and Daryl, Carl seems to have more haters than fans. Why put him on an EW cover if B&N won't have it on the shelf. It's not that I wanted a Carl cover or anything, but his fans won't be able find it at that particular B&N at least. Nothing against Carl, but thats why Michonne, Tyreese, Maggie, or Glenn should've had their own cover instead of Carl. I wonder if those who subscribed EW ended up with the Carl covers. That'd be hilarious.

1. Woodbury was mentioned in the trailer.

2. The Governor's reappearance this season is likely to be a surprise.

3. What's wrong with you?

4. Seemed fairly violent to me.

Since they already have him on set I'll guess he will appear from either episode 5-7.

That guy is the former fx guy now turned director I think.

What about the water thing Hershel mentions? I'm speculating that maybe the water source gets tainted or poisoned by the gov causing death /walkers and more death. Pure speculation so no spoiler tag needed.

Question: The new Walking Dead trailer looks crazy good, but it was decidedly Governor-lite. How big a presence will David Morrissey have in Season 4? —Cris
Ausiello: Well, I can tell you that he’ll have a major presence in at least two Season 4 episodes, both of which are being unofficially billed as ”standalone Governor” installments. No specific intel on when those episodes will air, but I hear they’ll likely fall in the first chunk of eight (premiering Sunday, Oct. 13).
