I hear so much flack regarding this scene, but I love it. And Batman's line was needed, imo, because it's something the viewer would think/say as well. Really adds to it.

I've seen Begins at least 20 times and I didn't even notice that part until I did a marathon last month. It was one thing I was hoping to see (disguised Bruce) and I couldn't believe I had missed it.

Hey, you're right! It's not make-up or wigs, but I suppose I owe that bit some credit. I loved it the first time I saw it in the theater, so it's weird how it's sort of slipped my radar since.

Also, I find it funny how we have Mr. Finch in Begins and Mr. Reese in The Dark Knight then Jonathan Nolan goes to write Person of Interest and names the main characters Mr. Finch and Mr. Reese. Actually, there are a lot of Batman nods on that show.

Ummmmmm.....so thoughts on El Mayimbe's scoop? I know we have to take everything with a grain of salt at this point...but the implications are pretty Earth shattering at the moment.
Edit: Beat me to it JackWhite lol. This is just too much for me to process right now. |

I wouldn't trust El Mayimbe with any news.

Regardless of the source, this is going to be a major topic of discussion until it's either confirmed or debunked either way. Might as well post the video so everyone can see for themselves. What he's saying makes a great deal of sense purely from an economic standpoint. Star Wars VII and Avengers have changed the game. |

The thing that is blowing my mind the most right now is the possibility that in only 4 months....we will be getting a Superman film that is IN CONTINUITY with the TDK trilogy.

If Nolan is really Godfathering the project then the chances of Bale returning goes up by a small margin.

Can't they easily push the timeline back a decade, say when Bruce was in his prime during TDK? I think that's an easy hurdle.

Yeah, I agree, this "news" is very iffy indeed. Why would Bale's Bruce Wayne go through so much trouble to basically stage his death (his and Batman's), abandon his entire identity as Bruce Wayne, flee the country, and start a brand new normal life, just to be Batman again in a very public hero league? Everyone in Gotham will be scratching their heads. It just doesn't make any sense. The only thing I can think of is if Bale's Bruce is taking the Batman Incorporated approach (multiple Batmen), but even there he can bring in anyone else to fill in the Dark Knight's shoes exclusively for the Justice League. Yeah, I just can't see this happening.

I, for one, hope that does not end up being the case. The Dark Knight Trilogy should stand alone.

He might not be Batman, but more of a mentor type like Batman Beyond with Blake as the new Batman. I wouldn't mind seeing that, although its not really the direction I'd take it.
