Post credits scene will likely be canon. If Singer is not ignoring X3, Xavier's death was a huge part of the movie....

^ Well, you see, it's his twin brother's body. A brother we've never heard of or anything in the trilogy or the prequel about Xavier's early years...

It's just the stupidest thing ever. Bryan and co. are smarter than to go with that explanation.

It is real stupid :/
But it's what happened... it's his voice at least. The face you can barely make out kind of looks like Patrick Stewart. It was probably him...

It was actually Patrick Stewart (with a beard) in that scene. Doesn't make it any better.

me too!

really glad to have a native american looking actor joining the X-men:

With each movie, this franchise keeps looking more and more like the comics, with all the diversity and different characters and powers

I think the X3 post credits scene is easy to explain if they care to use it. He looks completely different but uses his telepathy to make people see him as Professor X so they know it's him.

It's his twin brother who's in the coma, so none of this would be necessary.

Aye, plus it would mean the casting of yet another actor.

Is this confirmed anywhere?

Cannonball would be awesome. I'd like to see Paige as well, curious on how her powers would look on screen.

According to Wikipedia, his birth name is Nils Allen Stewart, Jr. So Booboo is just a screenname.

I'll rephrase then: who the heck chooses "Booboo" as their screenname?

I think these are strategic casting. They want to connect with the Twilight fan base and when u have chinese actor in your movie, chances are your movie will be alloed to be played in China , a major market these days.

Why does everyone keep saying "Cykes and Jean died in X3, so they won't be back" like its that huge of a problem? Isn't DOFP about alternate timelines and ****? One of many possible outcomes? Besides, Charles died in X3, and true, he "transported" his mind onto his brother's body, but does his brother have messed up legs too? Because I got the feeling that future Xavier will be in a wheelchair too, given that Singer posted the two different wheelchairs for the two Xaviers... Anyway, we don't know for sure if future scenes will take place after X3, or in an alternate timeline which could be different.

Xavier lives after X3 and he's undetectable (i'd think) from the Sentinels' detecting devices (since they detect mutants on a physiological level in DOFP) whereas Xavier is now a full-on state of consciousness living there.

Like that dream sequence in X1, we could probably see Patrick Stewart as a mental projection existing within his students' minds, a living archetype so to speak -- a conscious psychological drive that looks like Patrick Stewart and tells you to go against your military machine masters.

A purely psychological projection. That's how I'd explore Xavier; go full on zen. 60s Charles would be stoked.

China are cracking down on that now. Having a Chinese actor in a minor role won't benefit the movie's release in China. I can see DoFP getting released, but Chinese co-productions get better treatment.

Really hope the movie is released there, it will help the worldwide boxoffice.

And hopefully Fox pulls a hard marketing on whole Asia.
