I wonder how long Singer plans to stick with the franchise?

Does he have any other projects in the pipeline? It seems like he's totally invested with X-Men, so that's always a good thing.

Hell I'd let him do a little heavy petting if he did the X-Men justice again.

definetly.

Id say two more team movies, one to each cast, and one or two new spin-offs, in the future, not exactly after DOFP

What if they travel to multiple universes in this movie and we witness the true rise of the Phoenix from Alkali Lake?

Or...something in a potential sequel. X2 set it up perfectly...it hurts to think about. Sorry didn't mean to derail this into another I hate X3 thing

And many fans asked for Venom in Spider-Man 3, and look how that turned out.

Spiderman 3 was the third movie of the franchise.

DOFP is the movie number 7! lol Two totally different examples.

We have had Magneto and the brotherhood in three movies, Striker, Dark Phoenix and the Hellfire Club.

Dont you think its time for Mr. Sinister and Apocalypse yet?

I never said that, so don't put words in my mouth. Fact is, catering to fans hardly ever works out, especially when it comes to storylines.

are u sure about that?

seriously?

What the fans want is what have made the comics the great universe it is. So I dont see the real problem on your point.

If they can naturally work it in and do it, not because fans demand it. That is the issue, not the number of films. Of which this is technically #5, since the Wolverine ones for all intents and purposes are their own thing.

Just about every creator in every form of media will tell you that doing something just to cater to fans is always a bad idea. First, it handicaps them into what they can do, especially if it's not something that is organic to the story that they want to tell. Second, it opens them up to a boatload of backlash from the fans if they don't do it exactly the way the fans want it done. Fact is, nothing ever pleases everyone, and trying to do just that ends up making EVERYTHING a mess.

Yes, I'm serious. The problem is not everyone wants the same thing. The fans don't speak with one voice. They speak with a unique one for each and every fan, and each and every fan wants something different to some degree. You. Can't. Please. Everyone. It is impossible. One person wants a story to go one way, four others want it to go in four other directions. One person wants actor A in a role, everyone else wants actor B - Z in the role. The ones making the film need to focus on what their vision is, and not the vision of everyone else.
