It would be a great visual that helps set up again how amazingly skilled Wayne/The Batman is. He can without hesitation cross the thinnest of ices.

I didn't even know any Batman film has received comic adaptations, lol.

Another thing is I wish DC Animated would make a couple of more "Gotham Knight" style movies that are loosely connected to the Nolanverse. It doesn't have to be "Nolan canon" but it could serve a similar function as the Star Wars EU. I'm also still wondering about Dan Didio's ambiguous comment about Blake's "first mission".
The animation being like Gotham Knight? No thanks.

A kind of film that has different parts like Gotham Knight detailing Robin John Blake's training as the new Batman and his first obstacle? I SO want that.

^^Same here. Maybe animation like the very realistic anime that is popular in Japan or, my favourite option, something kind of like Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

I think it being WB Animation, with Gotham Knight they were trying to mimic The Animatrix (which was EXCELLENT), but that kind of style wasn't always the best fit for Batman. The animation style on the Deadshot one was pretty cool I thought. I agree that it wasn't the best overall, especially compared to some of the stuff they've put out more recently.

And yeah Anno, every Bat-film up to Batman Begins had a comic adaptation.

The art for the Batman and Robin comic adaptation is horrendous, I don't know what they were thinking there. It also starts out with Joel Schumacher directing on the set outside the museum, I thought that was lame as well.

The first two for Batman and Batman Returns are fantastic and the art for Batman Forever is pretty damn good too.

I loved how the demon hallucination Batman looked in the Begins adaptation too. He looks really strange, like some cool elseworlds Batman monster. I really dug it.

They were definitely taking a blatant shot at the movie and Schumacher with that, haha. But yeah, you can tell it was half-assed.

Yeah. I also remember the artwork being really sketchy and half assed. "Action" movements would have all these horrendous lines in the panels and the characters just looked really bad from what I remember.

It definitely wasn't the same quality that Batman, Batman Returns, Begins and Forever had. It seemed really lazy.

And yeah, it sucks we never got one for The Dark Knight or TDKR. Would have been nice to have a complete collection of all 7 films. * if you include the Mask of Phantasm Comic Adaptation, which was also really well done.

I think there is a fan one being worked on for TDK, but I haven't heard an update on it in a while.

Off topic, but I've been thinking about getting Batman Returns, Batman Forever and Batman & Robin as I view Burton's films and Schumacher's films to be so different that in my mind, they could be placed in their own universe.

1st film - Batman; 2nd film - Batman Returns

1st film - Batman Forever; 2nd film - Batman & Robin

For the like of me, I really want to watch BF and B&R and I don't know why, lol. I just hope I could feel that way with films like Spider-Man 3 or X-Men 3 but they tried to fit in the same tone and everything, which is much different with BF and B&R.

Yeah, it's really hard to view them as sequels even though they're sort of intended to be. Stylistically it's too hard a pill to swallow. It's easier to just take them as their own thing (if you're in the mood for a guilty pleasure )

Although I will admit when Bruce says, "Yes they were" when Dick tells him his parents weren't killed by a maniac, you can't help but think "Joker".

Ehh, they're just sticking with a code that happened with Batman Begins. A word after Batman, so I just view Batman Forever trying to stick with that code as well and they were able to go off with Batman & Robin for the other title as much as Nolan chose to use The Dark Knight

And Chase Meridian's line, "or do I have to wear skin-tight vinyl and a whip?"

I don't consider the Schumacher films sequels though. Like you said, they're just way too different. It's Schumacher's interpretation, just like Burton had his and Nolan had his. I could never see the Keaton Batman (or Bale Batman for that matter) doing ANY of the zany crap that's in the Schumacher films. He wasn't much of a talker in the first two films and he was always hidden. Could anyone see the Keaton Batman going to a fashion/bidding show like in Batman and Robin? I can't.

I want to see Bale as Robin and Keaton as Batman re-enacting the prologue to Batman and Robin dead serious. Same lines, same sets, same everything but the actors are all dead serious the entire time.

Bale as Robin needs to use his Batman voice even when he doesn't have a cowl

This would make a great Funny or Die video.

Well if we're to take him at his word when he says "never leave the cave without it" you pretty much have to look at it as a different continuity, unless you want to believe Batman had a Bat-credit card in his utility belt while being a dark creature of the night and avenging his parents' death in the first movie, lol.

Then there's the fact that the Keaton Batman confiscated those photos Vicki took of him as quick as he could and tried to remain as hidden in the shadows as he could, whereas Kilmer Batman is all over Time Magazine and the newspapers striking poses and having portrait shots taken of him and Clooney Batman strikes poses for the press at said fashion shows.

It's crazy the places they went to after Burton left, hahahahaha.

I've never been one to bust Nolan's balls on his editing tendencies, but I just stumbled upon this video. Anyone else noticed this?

I noticed it but it doesn't bother me too much. The only editing issue that bothers me is the shot of Batman in the Bat at the end.
