Entertainment Weekly.

It's revealed that when Wolverine travels back in time, one of the first thing he and Professor X do is break Magneto out of jail. Central to Wolverine's mission is the need to stop Trask from creating the Sentinels and to stop Jennifer Lawrence's Mystique from doing something that Singer doesn't specify.

Given that we see shots of both Magneto and Mystique in Paris and that this movie takes place in 1973, I'm guessing that Mystique attacks the Paris Peace Accords.

Good news for Lawrences new movie.

Quote:
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire got off to a strong start last night—the highly-anticipated sequel earned $25.25 million from shows beginning at 8 p.m. on Thursday. That's 28 percent higher than the midnight-only debut for The Hunger Games ($19.7 million).

Among "midnight" openings, it ranks seventh all-time behind the final Harry Potter movie, the last four Twilight movies, and The Dark Knight Rises.

It's tough to extrapolate too much information from this debut. Considering Catching Fire's audience isn't as rabid as that of Twilight, it should play much better throughout the weekend, and a $140 million debut is a guarantee at this point. Still, it would be surprising at this point if it matched Iron Man 3's 2013 record $174 million.

Catching fire Is likely to have huge opening this weekend.Thor loses the top spot.I am
surprise Catching fire seems to have bigger midnight showings than Avengers, and Iron Man 3.

I saw Catching Fire last night and ughh!!! no X-Men trailer again!

And before the movie started, I heard someone in the theater waiting for a X-Men trailer.

With word that Charles Xavier will be the major focus of this film, and the success of CATCHING FIRE and other films for JLaw, what do you all think the odds are of the next FIRST CLASS/X-sequel being a Mystique centric storyline? Maybe Mystique takes over the Brotherhood for a short time, a la the comics?

you could bet if they were casting her now she wouldn't be playing mystique, they would give her a different character she could have her own spin off with

Mystique could totally carry her own spin-off movie. Her solo run when she worked for the government was AMAZING and then the "Get Mystique" arc with Wolverine was awesome as well.

^Agreed. I love Mystique the only problem is I still think RR suits the role more and Jennifer would most likely be the one to get the spin-off. Maybe they can do a split one half of the movie JLAW the other RR?

Question: is JLaw still contracted to do one more X-movie?

It's strange now to have such an high-profile actress playing Mystique. Mystique has always been a great character in the comics, but I never thought we would have 5 films with Mystique in (ranging from decent role to main role). I guess the moviemakers really must like her and she does have a very distinctive and recognizable look/powers.

Its possible she didn't want to keep doing it, the paint and everything. Just a theory, it could be a big deal that changes history.

The first class actors signed up for 3 films.

Mystique could turn "Good" at end of film if they are indeed creating a new timeline.

CF was incredible and J-Lawr really brought it.

I have heard In reviews Jennifer Is singled out for CF.

Plus CF looks like it could outgross THG.

Lawrence was the only great thing about The Hunger Games, which otherwise I thought was quite pedestrian and suffered the common book-to-screen problems.

I thought that CF was fantastic, and that JLaw was fantastic in it. I heard that the reason why she's wearing a bodysuit instead of being painted is because she was allergic to the paint or something like that.

How the hell did my own, coined nickname "J-Lawr" get distorted into "JLAW" by so many?
