Are we all supposed to love the same things?

I'm indifferent to Jennifer Lawrence. Why do you care so much? Stop pushing your OPINIONS on other people.

I am just saying, if you have not seen ALL these movies - Catching Fire, Winters Bone, Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle. Then please do NOT come here and say she isn't that good.

No, which is why I personally loved Catching Fire WAY more than American Hustle, on every level. But I bet Academy awards lovers feel otherwise.

But I think it's very pointless to argue whether or not Jennifer Lawrence is a good actress or not.

If you are not already convinced after seeing ALL her movies and her nominations, I guess we will just have to agree to disagree to our personal preference differences. In the upcoming years, Jennifer Lawrence can either prove herself to be the next Meryl Streep or Natalie Portman.

Hopefully more Portman. Pair her up with Mila kunis in a Darren Aronofsky flick

I've seen the first Hunger Games, it's an ok movie, if a bit uneventful. However it doesn't prompt me to go watch Catching Fire.

Anyways, no one was acting like they've seen ALL JLaw's movies (maybe you have

I think it may be silver but because its a little blurry it looks more like a matte bright white.

Maybe it's a plastic gun, so that Magneto can't stop whatever she's trying to do?

People base their opinions on what they've experienced. Why should I watch "Catching fire" just so that in your eyes, my opinion would mean more? I couldn't even finish the first one, it was so horrible. I have zero interest in seeing the other one, no matter how much people claim to like it. American Hustle doesn't seem interesting to me, might eventually catch in on TV. I will watch movies I'm interested in. DOFP is one of those and Playbook is sitting right on my table waiting for me to watch it.

You probably like Jennifer Lawrence more than I and some others, and that shouldn't be a problem for anyone. Be a fangirl/-boy for her, it's ok. I'm just not.

To be fair I think Silver Linings Playbook is her best performance. Judging her acting ability without seeing that is kinda like only watching Righteous Kill and saying Bob De Niro and Al Pacino ain't all that.

That said, i'm not a massive fan of her Mystique from First Class. She was pretty annoying actually.

Started watching SLP, been sitting there too long. 40mins in, very impressed with Bradley Cooper so far.

Yea Cooper is great in it too. Even Chris Tucker is pretty good, which is, absurd really.

Why is that absurd? Chris Tucker is a good actor. What is nice about his role in SLP is that he is allowed to be more low key.

Almost through. For some reason wanted to say that damn, this is one beautiful film. As Darth said above, everyone is good in this, including Lawrence. Still really damn impressed by Cooper and the whole movie itself. David O.Russell is probably a dick to work with, but he knows his stuff. Really surprised by this. It also enhances the experience that I "know" these characters. In my life there are Tiffanys and Pats. i'm probably a half-Pat myself.

So does anyone think Mystique grabs Stryker's white gun?

I was impressed Cooper after The A-Team, but I agree he really shows something SLP.

SLP is definitely my favorite performance of hers. But she's phenomenal in pretty much everything right now.

I have seen all of her movies and I think she an average actress at best. deal with it
