Twice in a row? Nah, well maybe, she seems to not know how to walk in heels to these awards shows. I feel her pain.

I kind of do only because of the way she held on to the chick in front of her. You can't fake that kind of selfishness.

Did you see her reaction when it was announced that Lupita won, she was so happy! LOL.

I don't hate Jennifer Lawrence, but to be honest, sometimes she doesn't come across as genuine to me.

the same way? not the same way, could someone play mystique better? yeah probably, getting away from the simple minded we are familiar with this person playing it so no one can play it better then that person angle

same goes for jackman, he may be the only one we seen as wolverine but doesn't mean someone from a fresh prospective couldn't play it better

yes i know blasphemy!

Already many prefer trilogy over FC. Obvisouly with DOFP they are moving closer to trilogy mystique.

With wolverine comment you could say that about any character Including those In MS films.

To be fair Lawrence's Mystique hasn't really had a time to shine. Romjin's was seductive and dangerous, but that was helped by the writing. So far Lawrence's Mystique has just been really irritating haha.

you tend to act like thats a surprise that they are moving closer to the trilogy but that was always the idea wasn't it? i don't think they wrote jennifer to be a weaker mystique thinking fans would dig it more

you can bet one thing, in FC had jennifers mystique started out alone, mostly silent, killing people, cold, kicking ass, but not magnetos sidekick but her own person, maybe a young assassin for hire maybe with an attitude similar to wolverines where you just wouldn't know if she would kill you or backstab you... then alot more people would be arguing jennifer was better

its all in the writing and direction, you will notice the most popular X-men characters in this film series are the ones who are unstoppable and brutal and this is why they keep coming back

its also why its taken so long to flesh out xavier in this franchise, and look what they are doing with his character in DOFP, making him more angry and aggressive for this story like this is mean't to him more edge, it also sounds like he could get the F Bomb too :P

My fiancee and I concur. We were just watching X-Men, X2 and Wolverine and the X-Men and it became a point of discussion. Not that I am not a fan of Jennifer Lawrence. She is amazing in Silver Linings Playbook. Still, she just doesn't play that role as well as her predecessor.

both mystiques are written very differently so its odd why people feel the need to compare them i have no idea, how can you compare the 2 like they have the same characteristics when they obviously don't

its like trying to say they wrote her to be a badass in first class but jennifer played it bad and weak or whatever so everyone can go wow she wasn't very good at being mystique, but she was playing the little sister role to xavier as was written, she was more a discovering herself teenager, YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND ME!! sorta thing, but at the same time she is mean't to be different because if she had to grow into something in these prequel movies, had she been that person already... then whats the point! they would have to use her as filler!

People compare them because both actresses are playing the same character in the same universe, in the same film series. People compare Andrew Garfield to Tobey Maguire, and they play the same character across separate trilogies. It isn't so unreasonable to compare to women playing the same character in the same film series.

It kinda is when one of them is clearly written to be a villainous femme fatale and the other isn't.
