I guess so, but it's not really a fight. There's no hostility on my end. I was rather enjoying exercising my debating skills.

But I guess when you put it that way...

All of us? Where has your cock been exactly?

Thanks jaqua99 for saying something. No matter who is right or wrong we should all try harder to be understanding of one another, and respect each others thoughts. The true losers are the people of the forum when arguments erupt.

The way to avoid these conflicts and not be goaded into it is to put people you disagree with on ignore.

True, but I believe that both JB The Hunter and Mr. Dent are most likely good people, and that they are most likely not hating on each other, as much as that their emotions have gotten the better of them defending their views. So, for me to suggest that they should write each other off by clicking "ignore" for that reason seems a bit harsh, especially since things can easily be resolved with respect & understanding. I don't know though maybe I am an optimist.

more serious note: I didn't really care for Cap's first solo outing.. period pieces are hard for me to get into sometimes (although I understand that's the story that needs to be told for him haha) It was good, just doesn't stick with me as well as the others. His portrayal in Avengers was good, I loved his interaction w/ Stark and it really sparked his character interest to me for this next movie.

I don't ignore users often, the most recent person I've put on ignore has been Alexei and when's the last time we've seen him.

Alexei is long gone. He started a fight in one of the X-films threads and finally, finally got the boot. He was mentioned in the Banned Users You Miss thread, but it turns out nobody misses him.

If some of you guys haven't seen it you should go back and read through a few of the threads in the Wolverine section. His posts about the Aronofsky script were pretty hilarious. He kept attacking people when they said they didn't necessarily want to see a rape scene in a superhero movie

Even better is to not take this internetz stuff so seriously. State your piece, nod and say 'okay' when it's not accepted and rants are returned, and just move on with your life. It'll save you a lot of stress

And it'll make these threads less of a chore for others to catch up on

I've disagreed with plenty of people here in the past, but I've never put anyone on ignore. Not that I think there's anything wrong with doing that, but I just find that even when I disagree with someone on something somewhere on these boards, we may end up being on the same side of an entirely different debate somewhere else. I'd miss out on those unlikely little alliances if I had previously put them on ignore, lol.

Exactly. I'm pretty sure I've done that plenty of times.

I'll ignore someone if they bug the bejeesus out of me enough times. I don't care if they may help in another topic (which has never actually happened for the people I've ignored.)

I just put people on ignore depending on how irritating or obnoxious I find them, not really for their opinions. Though with someone like Alexei it didn't matter because everyone would quote him anyway.

The people I put on Ignore are trolls like Alexei and a few certified whack jobs. It's best to ignore their posts because some are so irritating that I'll read what they wrote and get so pissed at their stupidity that I respond. Engaging these people is never a good idea because they are too dense to even have a decent conversation. Since I can't go around calling people stupid and diving through the screen to slap them is out, Ignore is the way to go.

All but one of the people I've put on Ignore have eventually been banned. I'm not worried about the straggler; his day will come.

Most of the people I have on my ignore list have been banned also so I'm not worried about them. A couple others are active on threads I frequent but gave up on them since they were too dense and/or obnoxious to continue any conversation. I got a warning for calling one in particular an idiot and ever since I put him on the ignore list, I haven't faced much aggravation with anyone else.

Could somebody here help me out with understanding something that Kevin Feige just recently said? I've been scratching my head about it for a few days now, and even brought it up a few times in the Iron Man 3 thread.

How is it that the US Government doesn't see Captain America as one of their own? I mean, the whole point of War Machine being transformed into the "Iron Patriot" is because the US Government wants their own "Golden Boy" to display as a symbol towards their people, especially since they feel humiliated by the Chitauri Invasion.

Last time I checked though, Captain America was still officially enlisted within the US Army and he was only working WITH SHIELD, not for it, during the events of "The Avengers" as far as I saw since they were the ones fortunate to find him during his arctic slumber and equip him with the things that he needed for the modern day.

If anything, I was wondering and am hoping that it'll be somewhat addressed in this film on why the US doesn't feel compelled to go to CA to fight against the Ten Rings since he things like that is right up his alley.

Thoughts?
