However Lucas did say in '81 in that latest transcript to Kasdan that everyone can access the Force. It just takes lots of practice and some can attain it easier then others. So someone not having the Force really does not make sense since everyone technically has it flowing through them.
In that case, it would be cool to see a Sith or a Jedi who had to work harder than most to get a higher link to the force. Someone who was "normal" before, but got to their place under constant training and determination.

Ya especially one thing in particular. I liked a lot of the ideas from the PT. Again the "ideas" but the one that angered me the most was Order 66. It felt like a "quick" way to finish off most of the Jedi real quickly because he ran out of screen time. Which could have been done better, but I remember when I was a kid watching Episode IV, the way Obi-Wan talked made it sound like no one knew who "Vader" was and for years he kinda killed off the Jedi one by one. Then it was a shock when Ben found out. Vader was too short of a character in the PT and should have been in it more. (not mechanical Vader).

Reading that shows that is even what Lucas originally wanted, which would have been much better, and a more interesting area for Vader/Anakin to go. I would have loved it if half way through Episode II he became Vader. But he in stealth went around killing Jedi. While Anakin sat on the council they were trying to figure out who "Vader" was. Then in Episode III he is found out by Obi-Wan.

I think some of the original ideas were a lot better. But oh well. I have never gotten these BTS books of ANH/ESB by this guy but I heard they are amazing. I may have to purchase all of em.

I just finished watching ROTJ on Blu Ray, before midnight of course.

Man, there's a lot of parts where I sympathize with meaningless characters. The Gamorrean guard who gets eaten by the Rancor, Malakili, the rancor trainer, and of course the Ewok who died on screen.

You make this sound like a female lead is a for sure thing.

Has that gotten much traction at all? Because I honestly think it's one of the many rumblings we are in for that don't go anywhere ala Rhys Meyers. I just can't really buy someone having such a big piece of information from months ago given the time we haven't heard much rumors in between in terms of new casting. Rhys Meyers was the start of it.

The female lead rumor came from two sources: Peter of Slashfilm.co back in Janurary. He's pretty legit.

Then Jeff Snieder of TheWrap (formally of Variety) confined the rumor a few weeks ago on twitter. And he's as legit as you can get.

Nah, I was in Rockaway, at the AMC Outer 6. That theater is a Best Buy now. Although, I did manage to see the midnight showing of Phantom Menace there before it closed.

I didn't know about TheWrap part. But wouldn't have other sources report it as well or did I miss that?

I'd personally love to have a female protagonist. Someone like Elizabeth Olsen

That's slightly random.

I'm pretty well sold on the Elle Fanning suggestion, should it come to pass.

Ah, just wondering if we were there at the same time. My school had a half a day that day for some reason, so my friends and I went after to Paramus, which at the time had a HUGE screen and showed 70mm. We went dressed up as the different characters. The line was wrapped around the building. Seeing Jedi opening day ranks as one of my favorite (if not the favorite) movie going experiences ever!

(Oh, and I know that Best Buy )

That's cool! I had a full day at school, but when we got home my mom surprised us and took us to see it. The line was huge. It went all the way down to the Child World at the end of the block (which is now an empty store) and wrapped around the building.

The funniest part I remember was that the theater employees actually walked up and down the line to make sure there was no one there waiting to get into a showing of Blue Thunder that was about to start. The guy behind us yelled, "Oh, go back inside!" Like anyone was there to see Blue Thunder.

That was seriously one of the best moviegoing experiences ever for me too.

Thanks Viral.

Hmmm...I don't think November will be the 'official start' of principal photography but I do believe it's probably

a.) Test shoots

b.) CGI Plate shots/reference points for the VFX team

c.) 2nd Unit
