Showtime is talking about how other people behave which really can't be argued with because it's an observation.

You didn't stop there so I'm responding to your tangents.

I keep forgetting Diane Lane is in this.

She'll always be Cherry from The Outsiders to me.

He's portraying his role of Superman/Clark Kent not underwear model lol. Besides I'm positive they have people there telling them how to pose. That is in no way related to their acting abilities.

Well, maybe he should. I sure wouldn't mind seeing him in some briefs.

I have faith in Snyder.
But he says that they proceded as if there never were any previous Superman films ,
And yet he is using very recognizable elements from previous Superman films.
Not a criticism,just an observation.

It's funny that after the month long drought, we get a mag cover and new pictures, and all we talk about is the hidden crotch and donner comparisons lol

Probably because the media tidbits are "more of the same"
kinda MoS's thing

I don't mind but i get the frustration/confusion.

How's about him in the midst of tossing a car or using one of his other 30 powers. Maybe a look at Krypton or even the Daily Planet.
WB is playing this one hella close to their chest and it's grating.

What elements are they using that were created by Donner?

Very true. I'm stoked to have something new, but there really isn't much to dissect. The wait for this movie has been downright brutal!

I don't see the Donner elements in MOS.

There are similarities but no elements really that can be attributed soley to Donner unless I'm missing something.

I've already made my peace with the originality thing 2 years ago.

As long as the movie plays much better than the film in 2006 I'll be okay. Some people who have read my posts from 2006 may call my response a flip flop just so I can ignore something about the new film but it isn't.

Yes I disliked the hardcore Donner masterbation in the previous film but I have always disliked the characterizations, the plot, the lack of a physical villian and tedious pace more. Those problems are why I give the movie a 4.5 or a 5 out of 10. If I'm annoyed by the anything in the new film I will point it out in my review. The people who know me on here know I'm not one to hold back in order to make anyone happy.

So yes the movie sounds like Superman and Superman 2 mixed together and I doubt it's going to be some big original film but that does not mean that I won't like it.

That wasn't a rant though, I was at peace when I wrote that.

Man I do have to go to bed soon though because it is super late in my neck of the woods.

True, but we could say you were aiming your potential anger at those who may or may not call you a flip-flopper.

Personally, if it was able to fit with the context of the story, I would have enjoyed some viral marketing for the film that featured a website where the fictional civilians of MOS claimed to have videos or pictures of Clark doing his exploits in a chronicles like style
