It's important to remember that the WWE is filmed live. It's not easy for wrestlers to convey emotion right on the spot. Bautista will have more leeway with Drax, being able to do retakes if need be and more time to gather himself. I believe Bautista will knock it out of the park, Marvel wouldn't have cast him if he wasn't a safe bet.

Drax doesn't strike me as the bantering and ad lib type. But what do I know, I just read comics.

It doesn't make them infallible, it means if Batista showed something at his audition with the cast they had around him...they should just ignore that because he is a wrestler?

I think it should be interesting to see how this casting decision turns out. This one seems like much more of an unknown quantity than the others. I can't wait for a trailer for this flim to come out so I can get a glimpse of them all in character.

legit, we aren't the film makers, we didn't see his auditioned. I seriously doubt they are stupid, they are professionals, and if THEY saw something (or any decent studio for that matter), then there is something THERE that we just simply haven't noticed yet.

true...while some MCU films may have lacked in story or script, none have had really bad acting.

I like your open-mindedness but it's nevertheless still likely to fall on deaf ears with those seemingly making the sweeping generalisation that no wrestler has it in them to emote [or act] worth a damn, ever.

Granted, the track record thus far aint great but surely there's always the possiblity of at least one of them having an inate bit of talent [the law of averages would suggest so], so why cant this guy be that 'one', given that the Marvel guy's have obviously seen something? As I've said before, it seems to be a case of people on here simply looking at a guys previous profession and assuming the worst.

Harrison Ford used to be a carpenter; thank God he wasnt a wrestler or he wouldnt have been given a hope in hell.

Yep that's exactly why, Hemsworth, Jackman, Evans, and Cavill do the same thing in between sets.

He's off the juice now. He's lost a considerable amount of weight.
