I dunno, I feel like they'll want to put Falcon in some location shoots as well, to make the flying look more authentic. And cooler.

He may be seen just running around, just like Hawkeye and BW did on The Avengers NY shooting.

Of course it doesn't make sense. That's the point.

Honestly, its not the France line that sold a lot of people on the Ult Cap version. It was the scene in the graveyard. In a lot of ways, he did come off as a shockingly ( given the source ) good portrayal of a honest, decent soldier caught out of his own time.

In retrospect, I blame the monkeys and typewriters effect.

An interesting quote from Chris Evans' Twitter account...

I fought GSP last night. What would normally have resulted in a trip to the emergency room, was actually an amazing experience. GREAT guy!
Probably means they've already filmed the Batroc fight scene.

Doesn't sound like Batroc will be a major part of the movie but sounds like we may get a good fight for Cap out of it.

Hopefully it won't be too long before we see on-set pics of GSP in the Batroc costume.

Well Batroc's scenes won't necessarily just be fighting Cap. He might be doing other things - maybe killing someone else/ kidnappping Sharon Carter, or taking orders from the big bad. So maybe they've just filmed the Cap/Batroc fight scenes but there's more Batroc to come.

I'm betting he'll be holding Agent 13 captive.

The way I see it, we've had two movies of a traditional Captain America costume so I'm not really that fussed about this one. Besides, it's heavily inspired by a comic costume.

The more and more I look at it, I don't mind this new costume that much. Helps that I love the comic costume that it's inspired by.

So is the Winter Soldier pretty much the film's primary antagonist or is someone else?

Well his name is in the title, I would think so.

Plus, we also have to figure out how Batroc and Crossbones fit into the movie as well. CA, BW, and Falcon are going to have their hands full.

There will probably be a puppet master behind the Winter Soldier, but I expect that Cap will save him and they'll both fight Crossbones by the end (and maybe whoever is the guy behind the scenes).

I really hope they don't kill off Crossbones in this one so he could possibly come back in future MCU movies.

Grillo already said that Crossbones will be back in future movies....

....which means he's gonna be killed in TWS. Those Marvel snipers will even take out your fictional alter ego if you spill too much.

Wouldn't be surprised if we see him in movies like IM4 or Ant-Man. And Avengers of course.

this and the other, and both all equals nothing. Millar was just updating and all that assbag talk radio was all big then and, in his head, he's just grabbing things from our current stream of things and letting it hit these characters.
and that first run of Ultimates was just really over the top, it was an experiment, and i don't think they were really trying to stay in bounds of the character at all.
it was more like, they were taking the characters we knew and then introducing certain elements. and instead of the usual method of seeing how the fixed and unchangeable character moved around and dealt with these elements,
they'd see what these elements might do to the them if they were changeable and unfixed.

and the longer the Ultimate universe went on, the more the characters ended up being pretty much their 616 counterparts. like compare that first Ultimates run Cap with the Cap that recently got elected president and taking Miles Morales under his wing. I don't know if they explained this or not, but Cap was pretty much exactly what we see in 616.

but Millar didn't mean that as a parody or as a rag or anything, that whole thing comes off kinda like a cheap shot, just something that popped in his head and really a basic intentional misread of Captain America just played for effect. it was effective, but it was also really disingenuous at the same time.
Hulk too, Hank Pym too. i really don't think they thought it'd be more than a little run, so they just went all out on it.

Although I don't exactly like the Ultimates, I think the writing is very clever. It's very much more real than the 616 Universe. I think that's why so many people don't like them. They don't have the charm that the original do. This is the point in them though, you're not supposed to really "like" them.

Millar always puts satire and black humor in his work. Millar likes shock value and pushing buttons. I thought his Ultimates was typical of his work. Good or bad I think it was very much in his style.
