GL was probably a great option but like you said, they totally ruined it.

WW would work, but it has to be written well.

A JL would have to be Batman and Superman established and then them recruiting GL, WW, Flash and Martian Manhunter to battle White Martians. If they use Darkseid, the fact that Thanos is already running around in Avengers already makes it seem like a copy.
I think the difference with DC is that the JLA features their "Big Three," whereas Avengers didn't need anyone from Marvel's other big franchises like Spider-Man or Wolverine. So they would need to at least do something that involves those three and then go from there. Now they had a successful Batman franchise, but it was in a world where there were no other heroes established, and it almost seemed like Batman was the only hero there. I don't know if they'll change that with Man of Steel, but I think it would be hard to just go straight into a team movie without having the characters established as being in the same universe. At the very least, they could and should do a Batman/Superman movie just because they're the only things they've got going for them, but even then, they would have to figure out how to handle Batman since it'll most likely have to be a reboot, unless Bale comes back.

And my main point was that DC has just been pretty unorganized with the way they've handled things. The way Marvel went about all of this was smart because they did a group movie that didn't spend anytime introducing characters. They did a little bit here and there, and it worked because the main guys already had an established fanbase of people who weren't just comic-readers, and the previous films had all worked to build up to this mega-movie. Like even now, they have plans for future sequels and who they want to introduce. But with DC, I feel like all of this new JL talk has just been a reaction to the success of the Avengers, and unless DC actually takes the time to consider what their best approach would be, I wouldn't expect a JL movie to be anywhere as good as Avengers, because we've already seen what happens when they rush things out.

I think we'll definitely get a JLA movie at some point in this lifetime. It's inevitable. But like I said, the big question is just how good will it be, and whether or not DC and WB will mess it up.

They managed to sit through 2+ hours watching a movie about a guy dreaming to dream to dream to be dreaming again to wake up and return to his children, what's wrong with spending maybe less time watching a guy who can run fast?

Just find that treatment/script that was written a couple of years back.

Seeing as how they made a tv show out of the Flash, a movie shouldn't be that hard.

I guess my point is Flash would work better as an hour movie. It just seems like a lot to make it a 2 hour movie.

Plus, from what I can understand, flash has a truly ridiculous origin story. He struck by lightning...inside...THROUGH a window, which happens to have a rack of chemicals in front of it... Unless i misinformed, which is entirely possible, I've never really followed the flash comics.

Not sure how that's worse than getting splashed in the face with toxic waste.

I think at the end of the day, it all depends on how the story is written and how compelling it is. But personally, I have no interest in the Flash and could do without a full movie devoted to him.

Are talking about daredevil? Lol, personally I'd rather he just be portrayed Asa blind man rather than outright superhuman like in the movie.

Silver Age comics, time of the silliest ways to write origin stories

And that includes DD, Frank Miller decided to make him a bit more grounded by giving Matt a trainer in Stick
Stan Lee's origin was used for the movie, without adding Miller's initial revamp

I personally would love a Flash movie, I don't know much about him but he's always been my favorite DC person. I'm sure the people with better minds than mine could make it happen.. well, less busy ones

I wouldn't mind seeing a FLASH movie. I liked the old live action TV series with Shipp. They could do even better stuff today.

This thread has deviated quite a bit huh? But I agree a Flash movie could easily be made and I would love to see it.

why can't you like something without knowing much about it? I've never read comics or even really been interested in comic characters until the MCU started. From the few times I'd watched the Justice League show I always liked flash the most, his costume and colors were cool, and his powers are very unique. You don't have to be 100% informed on something to like it. Hell, most people like a certain sports team because of their colors or name without knowing anything about it.
