Yeah, some times people like that are ridiculed for being fans of a team and not knowing anything about them.

so I'm being ridiculed for being a fan of the flash but not knowing anything about him? IMO comics are boring and uninteresting, like I said I didn't have interest in the characters til IM and the whole shared movie universe came around. But anyways, back to the point of this thread

Probably not. However, a movie about a forensic scientist given the ability to run at unimaginable speeds, alter his perception of the world so that everything else seems to be in slow motion, vibrate through solid objects, and put an infinite amount of momentum into a single punch among other things through a freak accident going up against colorful, strongly characterized, visually-pleasing villains? I think that'd fair much better.

Yeah I think that is one of the common misconceptions about Flash. He is capable of A LOT more than just running fast.

You don't have to be 100% informed on something to like it. Hell, most people like a certain sports team because of their colors or name without knowing anything about it.
I'm kinda the same way. I've got interests in a lot of things, but I'm not an expert in every tiny detail on whatever the subject of interest happens to be. That's why I don't quite understand the whole comic book geek/nerd mentality, it's like if you don't dedicate your entire life to these comic characters you're considered some kind of outsider. Oh well, I can live with that.

I guess I'm an outsider here haha. I like to bring the general audience POV to the forums I post in.

Ha no no no.

Batman Begins was the only good film from that trilogy.
Dark Knight had it's moments but it dragged on and was too full of its own self seriousness to be fully enjoyable.
Rises was a wonderful mess that failed to live upto the hype surrounding it.

NO. Nolans batman movies are great, more then great even....but when it comes to capturing the essence of a "comic book" they are not as strong as marvel movies.
Even the worst marvel movies have this comic book feeling more than nolans batman sometimes,in my opinion at least.

Thats why i think its a huge mistake to think nolans style is the right one for dc heroes, for batman it worked good, it could also work for some marvel heroes but otherwise going with a more realistic type of story for someone like superman and others would be a mistake.

You are in the very small minority on that.

Looks like Tarantino's next film is going to be about a tomato family.
