Tdkr is no where near good film making. I mean the script problems alone and logic gaps rob it of that title.

Its got more issues than a $2 dollar french whore in the gutter.

I don't mind what nolan did to the universe or the character. I don't read comics and find enslaving ones self to the source to be counterproductive to creativity. My issues with TDKR lie with the lazy filmmaking on display.

Hell with all y'all, I loved TDKR.

At the very least, it's the best Movie #3 a comic book movie has received. But that's not exactly tough competition to begin with...

I agree with that.

Personally, if I could just shut my brain off I'd enjoy it, but I've pulled back the curtain and seen all the issues and now its just ruined for me.

It sounds really intellectual when you say that, but being someone who knows a lot about film making, a lot about story and plot, I read your statement, visualize films where I've 'pulled back the curtain' similarly and been disgusted.
But then I think about TDKR, the wonderful character arcs nearly every character had, the beautiful storytelling and impressive visuals, and for the life of me I can't think of anything 'hidden behind the curtain' to be unhappy about.
It's because my brain is on and I'm thinking about the people in the film, the complex interactions and planning between characters that I enjoy it so much, or at least one of the reasons.

That's because the general audience is made up of idiots and kids.
Just look at how much Transformers and Twilight made.

Ahhh this old internet theme.
If you know so much you'd see the holes in both plot and character arcs.

Good try though.
