I remember that too! Luckily only one of those movies turned out to be a massive disappointment (man that underground rave scene )

Hugh plugs "free comic book day" in this video - anyone think the background is a part of the set? Looks 1970-ish.

It was even earlier than that! It was the first image, when he was wearing a (blue?) Hawaian shirt. They put those posters up at the Imperial the day after Les Mis closed (which seems ironic now...), then replaced them with that marquee when it got closer to when the show opened in the fall.

X2 had actually just come out on DVD when The Boy From Oz opened.

I think it makes sense that most of the mutants in this film are from the future....the eleven chairs in Singer's video.

Since most of the mutants in the future will probably be killed by the Sentinels.

Yes, I do think there will be some sacrifice by some mutants in the future, leaving only a few mutants left to time travel.

Hence, the big question is who will survive the future scenes and do the time travel?

I think the most likely mutants to survive the future massacre and survive to time travel is Kitty, Logan, Blink and Bishop.

Honestly, I don't think everybody from the future will travel back to the past.

There have to be some people left in the future fighting sentinels and ended up dead.

I hate to say this but I think Rogue, Ice Man, Storm, Warpath and Colossus will only be involved in the future scenes. And this group of mutants will most likely get killed.

Especially Rogue, Ice Man, Warpath since they were not even present in the original "Days of Future Past" comic storyline.

Sorry, but I don't think Rogue will get much to do this time round. If you look at the Danger Room scene from X Men 3: The Last Stand, Rogue is pretty much useless in battle.

And unless they give her superhuman strength and the power of flight (which I don't think is ever going to happen) , Rogue is just the perfect mutant or lamb to be sacrifice to the sentinels. Furthermore, she took the cure at the end of X3, and even if her powers return back....I still say it's not looking good for Rogue's fate in DOFP.

Ice Man, being Rogue's boyfriend will probably be too distraught at her death to time travel. Or he could be dead too, killed by the sentinels.

Storm, from what I understand, she didn't time travel in the DOFP comic storyline. She is only involved in the future scenes and eventually gets killed by the sentinels.

I think all the future characters that stay in the future in the comic will stay in the future in the movie. Wolverine, Storm, Colossus, old-Magneto...which leaves Rogue, Iceman and old Xavier as wild cards. Kitty I believe will time travel, possibly with Bishop?

since Blink announcement....Im wondering... if she is the key to the time travel, what will she do once she and the traveler arrive to the 70's?

will she go back to the future? or stay on the 70's for the rest of the movie?

feels a bit weird to have Blink on the 70's for some reason. And at the same time, I dont see Mystique and Blink sharing scenes on the past. Two hot/weird looking female mutants on the same scenes is not something I see Bryan doing.

Since Bishop is in this, he'll probably travel to the 70s, and Blink could tag along.

Ever since Blink and Bishop were announced, it made the most sense that they were the top candidates for the time travelers knowing the nature of their powers (Blink) and their history with time travel in the comics (Bishop).

Just really wouldn't make sense to have them just be future mutants and send members from the X-Men back instead. At best, I'd say Kitty would travel back just as a nod to the original comic run, but anyone else going back defeats the purpose of having a future X-Men team in the movie.

I think Bishop or Blink will go back in time with one of the original actors.

Id love if its Kitty or Rogue, in any case.

If Bishop is the traveler, a x-girl would be a perfect combination. But two males? no please

I think I've said this already in another thread but...

Also, knowing that a good majority of the movie does take place in 1973, sending Bishop and Blink back to interact with the First Class team also gives time to build those two characters up - which probably wouldn't happen if they were kept in the future. They'd most definitely be overshadowed by the original X-Men team.

thats a good point.

But we could say the same with Kitty, since she only had a more or less decent role on X3, so this travel could finally give her the momment to shine and let the audience fall in love with the character and Ellen.

Its a great opportunity for this

I am old man here compared to others.I am 39 now and 29 when I saw X2 4 times In theatres back in 2003

I am going to have to disagree with those who Insist Bishop have to be time traveler.

1mar Sy has another film he starting later In month
2:If you read the comics Bishop Isn't consent time traveling despite what
the animated series would have you believe
3:Wolverine and the X-Men had Bishop and he wasn't a time traveler.I defently get some Wolverine and the X-Men vibe Influence here.Just like the spectacular spider-man appears to have been a influence on The Amazing Spider-Man
4:This Is more a X4 than first Class 2.The idea they are worried about putting
new characters with remaing 4 first class actors Is looking doudtful
5:People should consider they want to have actors from Trilogy Interacting
with first Class
6:I think the Idea of Bishop and Blink with larger roles than the 8 OT actors
Isn't very likely.

Then you're the same age as me. And Hugh Jackman wished me a happy birthday when I turned 30.

During one of the 5 times I saw The Boy From Oz, he was calling out someone in the audience who'd shown up late, and the guy said he was home watching X-Men. The audience laughed, Hugh responded, in full Peter Allen-mode, "There's a CUTE guy in that!!" The audience went nuts.

He called out that little smartass for multiple times for rest of the show. It was quite epic, I have to say.

I'm honestly going to take that as confirmation. Just like when we got reports that Hugh was in Georgia and that chauffeur said he was in town filming X-Men.. or when we got reports Famke was filming for The Wolverine. Both of which turned out true.
