Cool Re: Days of Future Past News and Discussion - Part 3

I would prefer if we had 1973 Logan meeting up with Xavier and his X-kids instead of future Logan...then, the time-travelling x-member or crew could see Logan hasn't changed at all...lol

Well we are not sure if wolverine is the "time traveler" it could be origins wolverine (didn't the movie take place in the 80's?) so maybe this is 70's Logan. It can actually work, this movie is in the 60's wolverine works with them, then in origins (80's) he loses his memory, then in the 2000 he won't remember working with the x-men . . . Then we can actually get a real time traveler (Rogue, Kitty?). I don't know, it's just a thought wanted to share with you guys.

Love the look of Wolverine. But not sure if he is indeed the time travel, due to nature of the character.

That said, if, for example, someone has travelled to 1973 and they have sought out 70's Wolverine and brought him into the fold, that could be one of the first changes they have made to that timeline in the hope of changing the future.

Or not.

It's probably just modern Wolverine.

I also didn't expect the 1973 Cerebro to look so much like modern Cerebro.

Interesting.

Oh, good catch JP on there being multiple alternative timelines. Maybe this scene is one of them and we're all just taking it out of context.

Exciting stuff!

I think I can safely say that we're at a complete loss in terms of timelines and continuity right now.

First image that has genuinely made me very excited for this, indeed.

I wonder what becomes of the future then? I assumed Hugh would stay and anchor that stuff. But if he leaves, that means it's up to the rest, which will be quite nice if they all get the time to shine.

And to think some were already complaining about over-saturation! Yet we still know jack **** about this film.

Totally. This movie needs Doc Brown.

tech usually gets smaller and better, but to say they managed to create this setup in 1973 and it lasted 2 decades is abit crazy, doesn't even look like Xavier would create this with no Xmen

i don't believe that

honestly don't take this as proof wolverine is the time traveler, the set is the same one as the original trilogy... i mean whaa? 10 years after 1st class?

I want a terminatoresque, time-travelling, prime sentinel...I envisioned us having one when Vaughn was in the driver seat...sent to ensure the DOPF line does happen...

Same goes for directors too, Whedon, the Russo's, Zack Snyder, and James Gunn are all huge comic geeks, so its nice to see them runnin things
Personally I don't really care about how big of a fan or not an actor or a director is of something beforehand. I don't think it's important for the end result either.

The whole movie is about changing timelines though. The very fact that Wolverine travels to 1973 is a change that didn't exist before.

how do we know hank doesnt travel to the future?

that setup seems odd to me, esp in the 70s, or maybe hank from the past and wolverine from the future go to before X1, aka cyclops, jean ect

that set is.. i dunno

All we know is there will be a mingling of the timelines...which, if done right, will make for a good X-film

Really not digging the idea of Wolverine being sent back. It pretty much destroys the timeline of X1 and X2. I mean, the "past" Wolverine still wouldn't know them, but the X-men should remember him at least. Or Professor X.

Well, Wolverine's clothes made me think he goes to the 70's and is trying to blend in. That said, knowing Wolverine, that could be his normal attire

But in the future time, I would have expecting the mansion and the levels underneath to be destroyed. Certainly not that pristine. Though I do agree, I didn't expect the 1973 set to look like that.

maybe it is the 70s setup, but thats really odd way to go if it is

its like the writers said darn it now they are in the 70s we dunno what to do everything is old and outdated around that time... i know lets do it so they have the original trilogy technology... omg thats brilliant

Hugh looks like he hasn't aged a day since X2 . Wolvie could be the time traveler or it could the 70s Wolvie. It's hard to tell because he's always dressed like that

eh.. that's part of being a mutant to be honest
