I think the NBA playoffs along with the Voice tonight would be a great time to release this spot.

Yeah, I immediately thought of Django Unchained.

I think the new TV spot is cool and everything... like the shot of Lois and Superman flying... but I have to admit you guys hyped it to where I thought they would have shown more. Anyway nice to see a new clip.

After everything I saw this movie just can't allow itself to fail. Cast, production design, music, acting, action, FX. Everything is top quality. The only thing, that remains to be seen, is if the movie has a solid story and substance behind that.

I can agree with most of that except the effects. There are still a slew of effects that look very cartoony and fake. Hopefully they fix some of that stuff.

The part right after Jor-El sends Kal-El off and the Zod police show up looks insane.

It doesn't look cartoony, and nothing will or needs to be "fixed".. This is wishful thinking by way too many. These effects you're talking about won't look any better in the movie. But than again, they will, because it'll be seen in full out fleshed context with the entire film. It's always different.

Yea, if that were the case he would do so with every loved one's death. Like, you know, Pa Kent.

TV spot looking good! The movie so far looks very promising.

I do have to wonder though if all the fanboys who crapped and whined about the special effects of a cgi Routh will do the same with Zod.

there's a 95% chance that they'll complain regardless of how it ends up looking overall in the film.

Hmm..I hadn't thought about that possibility until just now. That would be a interesting twist on the mythology; rather than having Krypton's impending doom looming over them as they send their child away, instead it'll be Zod and Krypton's forces that are closing in on Jor-el and Lara to apprehend their son.

The funny thing is these are things only fanboys complain about. They are the ones freezing frames and then talk about how the cgi hurts the film, when in live viewing the audience will hardly notice.

Any any cgi person on film is going to be noticeable when your freeze the frame.

Indeed; though it's the CGI of people that are noticeable even when you don't freeze the frame that should raise the alarm for the filmmaker, in particular, Spider-man 3.lol
