Woman didn't even wear a Mohawk in the comic this film is based on. Y'all acting like this is some kind of sacrilege against the DoFP comic!

how does Lindsey Mingenbach screw up every single superhero film she's on. Every one of her costumes has been crap from the start...

Despite the dystopian future the costume doesn't grab me at all. I wonder how far into the future as Storm doesn't look that much older than she did in X3.

WHERE ARE YOU, LS???

Does anyone else think he saw the pic, either loved it or hated it, and then his head exploded?

Louise is not the best costume designer. But I wouldn't call her costumes for X-Men crappy.

Her costumes weren't the worst. I liked how Wolverine (in X2), Storm, and Magneto looked. DID NOT LIKE how all the X-women had the same uniform and the X-boys as well in X2.

Her clothing design, however, was abysmal. I'm thinking she'll be ok for the 70s portion since it's a period piece and she won't get to try to make things look timeless (RE: ugly) and maybe the future is so bleak that everyone will be wearing rags haha. Although I was hoping for some Blade Runner influence in the future scenes.

The uniforms make me very curious to see what this future setting is going to look like.

So the mission in the movie is saving the future from drab monochrome clothes?

Just kidding, it's certainly appropriate for the setting, although I'm not a fan of that cape.

Considering the storyline, I'm quite pleased with the uniform. As I look at it it's hard for me to see what there possibly is to hate, maybe it's a bit underwhelming to some, some comments just make it clear there's no pleasing some no matter what. From my perspective so far so good!

These photos he gives us are nothing more than to keep chatter up. This will be polished/adjusted during filming and promotion. 9 times of out 10 "costumes" look better in the film/promotional photos than these off the cuff, costume fittings/photography takes".

I'm not sure if I like it, but I won't really know until maybe 6 months from now when the trailers/official photos come out.

I think she is in costume now to maybe get her fight scenes out of the way, if they decided to go that route.

Glad to see the originals are back! Halle's hair goes with the DOFP look, and she looks quite nice that way. LMAO Storm's hair had fallen out after dealing with a disgruntled future Wolverine all day, hahahahah.

The cape is small and dinky of a cheap fabric compared to the shimmering long flowing full cape she had in X2. Also the short sleeved black tee underneath looks so cheap, it's funny.

I think the hair is hideous. If they wanted short, they should have just dyed her real hair. It looks like granny hair.

I wish they'd give Storm a long regal mane like Tina Turner in Mad Max.

The hair is exactly the same as Halle's.

It's a little fuller and looks fake. Plus, this is not the best look for Halle, anyway. Should have just stuck with the X2 wig. The white wig looks more "mutant", the grey streaks just look "old lady".

I wanted the mohawk for a young Storm before Halle Berry was cast in the movie, but I guess I should have figured that they wouldn't have recast Storm unless they had to.

I wonder why they give Storm a longer hair in this movie. Its probably easier for Halle to move around with shorter hair.

I didn't like that too. Hopefully they'll improve it.

Louise Mingenbach is crap... It was such a huge event in India when a famous bollywood actor Suniel Shetty whose a good friend of Louise Mingenbach asked her while she was visiting India on a break to help "spruce up" some of the costumes/clothing for a huge song in one of his home productions which turned out to be his most expensive flop ever. The clothes were so heavily criticized as well in almost all the reviews and reviewers made fun of the wannabee useless "hollywood" style cheap rate design. Her main contribution she said in a small interview with some film press journos were that she "wanted to make the clothes on Sunil [the man in the awful pitiful black half-top hoodie] look more hip and sexual..." so she styled it with half cuts and cut out a lot of the clothing at the torso area and the result... Well you be the judge, thanks Louise Mingenbach for another wonderful film contribution... Check out the black hoodie half top or whatever the **** it is... I'm sure many of you would want to go around wearing that as it screams... HIP...

The jury is out for me on this first glimpse of Storm. I don't hate it. But I certainly don't love it either. I have been preparing myself for another series of bland, uninspired costume designs from Louise Mingenbach and once again she is certainly not aiming for Oscar-worthy design concepts here. However, I think it will be okay for the setting of the film. Nice to see the bump concealed so nicely.

The cape however is way too small. Also, I am totally not feeling the Judi Dench haircut. Way to differentiate the actress from the character. And where are the earrings? We need big ones here. Oh, wait...Louise is not into make-up and jewelry on female subjects.

This is a situation where Storm/Halle is going to look good only when paired with everyone/everything else on film. As a standalone, this new look is like tipping your head back with a glass of water and only a few drops are in the glass. It doesn't leave you quite as parched, but it teases as to how wonderful it could've been and still leaves you thirsty as hell.

SCORE: 4/10

Costume is alright I actually like the new cape as its more accurate to the comic book, Storm doesn't need a long flowing cape like Supes or Thor. The hair is alright but I wish they would have went longer. Halle looks amazing and I'm still hoping for crazy fight/flight scenes done by a stunt double. All in all its just ok, it's gonna do its job.

The costume is definitely not the best but if you compare it to the leather costume that Storm had in the original trilogy, I think there's an improvement. This new costume have more layers and I feel like there's more thought into it.

With Louise on board, I definitely was and am fearing the worst for at least some of the looks in the movie. This one doesn't totally calm my nerves, but it didn't damage them.

The major improvement for me is the fit and the detailing. I like the idea of the cape design, but it needs to be enlarged and shaped a little more voluminous. The gloves look pretty nice.

As for downsides... it does look kind of like a flight suit. It's a bit random AND not inspired from any comics I know of (the OT uniforms, while all black and boring, at least kind of looked like it had some influences from various X-Men uniforms in the comics). I would cut out the little mini sleeves and just have those shoulder things connect to arm bands or something.

Biggest problem for me is the hair. It's not a bad look per se, but it looks too much like Halle. I'm hoping Halle isn't filming yet and was just doing test shots and Bryan released one to gauge fan reaction.

Im sure Halle will look amazing on all promo pics.

She probably doesnt have makeup on this behind the scenes, but even if she has, this look will be badass on promo shots. And more than likely on the movie too, with the apocalyptic sets, and once we see her with the rest of the cast and using her power.
