Hey, a lot of threads around here rename themselves after starting a new thread. I that spirit, I suggest the following options:

The Game of Thrones thread always pays its debts

Game of Thrones: Hail to the god of threads and wine

The new, improved Game of Thrones thread: now with 20% more incest!

The sixth Game of Thrones thread will be ready by 2026

I like to keep it simple. I vote for keeping the current thread title scheme.

Wow. I just looked at the plot synopses of episodes 6, 7, and 8 that were posted before the last thread closed, and they're getting through a hell of a lot this season, and that's with two episodes left after those. They also seem to be playing with the timeline, which is totally fine.

George better get to typing, because at this pace, they'll run out of stuff from the books halfway through season 5. Hell, even filling season 4 could be tough without totally shifting focus from some of the more prominent characters and introducing a crap ton of new ones.

There is plenty to go in season 4.

Not for all the characters. Personally, I'm fine with not hearing from some of the characters for a few episodes. I don't know how the audience might react to that, though.

I also think I'm compressing things in my head a bit. When I think about it, depending on where this season ends, it shouldn't be a problem to get through season 4. At some point, though, they'll be bringing in some new characters that are bound to get significant screen time.

I also would just like Martin to get to writin'. He ain't getting any younger.

They have large chunks of SOS left, and the entirety of AFFC and ADWD. That is over 2,000 pages of material. More than enough to cover seasons 4, 5, and maybe 6. Lets look at what they have for season 4.

Forgive the spoilers non book readers. DO NOT READ THIS IF YOU HAVENT READ THE BOOKS!!! SPOILS SEASON 4 BIG TIME!!!

Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
We already have it confirmed that the attack on the Wall next season will be the size of Blackwater so it will take up a whole episode. Along with that will be Jon working to prepare and fortify the wall and Night's Watch for the oncoming attack and the election of a new Lord Commander. That covers Jon for all of season 4 and doesn't even get Into books 4 or 5. Stannis will be preparing to head to the Wall next season to defend it so that will cover him for the season. Lady Stoneheart will show up in some capacity. Dany has a LOT to do. Arya will be running around the countryside with the Hound. Sansa will be dealing with Littlefinger at the Vale. There is the Purple Wedding and its aftermath. Tywin and Shae's storyline and climax. Tyrions imprisoment and escape. That right there alone is more than enough to cover 10 episodes.
