I don't know Dany's plan, but I know that a mother never gives any of her children away for long....

Whatever happened to Stannis and Melisandre's "child"? That thing killed Renly and then disappeared. I never quite understood that thing

Wow, cant believe Dani just gave away one of her dragons. Guess her "children" aren't as important to her as she was freaking out about last season

Even though he deserves to die, I was rooting for Theon to escape

Wow that ending was shocking. Was not expecting to see that
Seasons can last years in this world and they're currently in autumn.

Stannis and Melisandre's shadow child is a one off thing; it kills who it has to and then ceases to be.

As for Dany, keep watching.

Oh please, you people really don't see what she's planning?

Go back and listen to the questions that she asks and what she traded the Dragon for. That outta tell you what she has planned.

Cameo apperance of Snow Patrol frontman Gary Lightbody singing as a member of The Brave Companions.

I didn't see Coldplay's Will Champion though who is also making a cameo apperance.

After what happened to Theron last week you would say he had a lucky escape but he really had a lucky escape this week.

Pod's got skills.

So long Hotpie.

I hope Dany kills the slave guy and takes all his slaves.

I'm waiting for Iwan Rheon to go full creepy like misfits on Theron.

Tobias Menzies aka Edmure seems even more incompetent in GoT than he was in In The Thick Of It.

Cool to see Robb Stark acting like a leader and showing some of that tactical knowledge.

Tyrion and Cersei's teenage style one-upping of each other is hilarious.

I was under the same impression, as well. I looked at Winter-Is-Coming and didn't find any news about this actor being cast as Vargo Hoat.

I streamed the ep. But can someone tell me if the rock music actually kicked in mid scene or during the credits?

Also, there seems to be alot of spoilers in this thread about Dany I think. Just saying.
My thoughts on the matter is this, she literally spent half of season 2 crying "where are my dragons..etc" I think this trade, if it happens is huge lol.

A lot of funny moments in this episode with Tyrion. It was so great to see Iwan Rheon finally AND Brutus! Tobias Menzies! Another great addition from Rome. All my favourite shows are merging together.

Welcoming episode.

Funny, cool, realistic (GOT-way), bloody, and sexy. Everything that is GOT and was missing last episode. I'm so happy last episode was a fluke, it's why I hate LOTR.

Just awesome all around tonight. Dany is so going to own that guy. I can't believe the hand, haha Jamie. Rob's wife, adding to his myths. No that is a woman.

The opening failing arrow guy, the Lannister chair gag, and Tyrion inquiring about sexual knowledge >>>>>>>>>>>>

Did anyone else spot Stryver (TDKRises)?

Oh, having The National and now The Hold Steady close out episodes is great.

But these parts distracted from how good everything else was (Robb in Riverrun, Dany in Astapor, Jaime and Brienne). This is one of those episodes I don't think i could watch on it's own, it has to be with others. I'm starting to feel the show either needs to reduce focus to 3, maybe 4, characters per episode or be watched several at once instead of one at a time.

Absolutely hated the cover of Bear and the Maiden Fair they played at the end credits.
That was one of my favorite bits it the episode. Tywin puts all the chairs on one side of the table and sits at the head as a total power play, and to see where each person ends up sitting. Cersei carries her chair over to sit at her father's "right hand". Tyrion waits for all the other moves to be made, and then manages to drag his chair to the other head of the table, to sit as an equal to his father. I thought it was brilliant.

And, separates this show from other stuff like it. Gives it life and makes it honest. I love little things like this, shows these characters are very human and dropped into this vast-otherworld, unlike the Lord Of The Rings...

I have no doubt that Dany is going to make sure the slave trader gets his and it's apparent how she will do it.

That Rock tune at the end was a big WTF moment lol!!!

I am going to be liking the Blackfish on the show. Looking forward to his escape from Riverrun swimming out like a Trout later on the series. And they're really making Edmure to be quite an incompetent case aren't they?

Also looking forward to Dany's next move plus the scenes where Davos gets to learn to read and write.

Pretty good episode, and I was surprised at some of the things that found their way in--Iron Bank of Braavos, Edmure and the arrows. Still more setup though, I'm eager to see some of that get paid off.

And what the hell? Those were terrible versions of Bear and the Maiden Fair. I hope they don't try to cover Rains of Castamere like that.

Stop posting spoilers from the books. Why is this so hard to understand?

And the music was terrific.

Are you talking about actor Burn Gorman?

The tracks by The National and The Hold Steady were great. I hope they have Woodkid music on the show one day.

I felt that the beach scene with Stannis and Melisandre was slightly out of character with how he was pawing all over her.

We don't see Stannis alone with her, so I honestly don't know how he acts in private with her.

All I know is I feel the same exact way about her.

In this case, the rock version of "The Bear and the Maiden Fair" playing over the credits really heightened the shocking moment that just happened but I hope it won't be a standard for future episodes. Nice to finally seeing Edmure & Brynden, especially Menzies since it was also just recently he appeared in Doctor Who.

The books have been out for years. People are going to speculate on how their favorite events from the books are going to be handled on the TV series.

Don't read the spoilers. That's not hard to understand.
