Does Clark actually earn a journalism degree? How does he get hired at the DP?

It's all related to the secrecy revolving around Daily Planet Clark I bet... O_o

great post

Can I also add I don't think an actress would need a particularly wide range to play Wonder Woman.

Actually, there is plenty wrong with him being sharply dressed if they are pulling an All-Star Superman hunching DP Clark Kent. A good well-tailored suit makes one stand up straight and flatters a man's physique especially with more modern, closer cuts. If you want the Clark Kent disguise to be convincing in a way that it has never been before, they need to pull a Birthright and have Clark intentionally dress in ill-fitting clothes otherwise the jacket with crunch and pull in odd places when Clark puts on his DP act or it will be plainly obvious that Clark is one handsome, well-built dude. Just look at how majestic, tall, and athletic Cavill looks on the Red Carpet for proof of what a good suit does. (although he often has minor fit issues)

I think Carano's acting is below average, but I'm sure she'll get better if she already didn't already from the conversations she must have had with Cavill.

It is a bit unfair because we're all judging her from her first movie. For someone who transitioned from sports to acting, it's impressive. Some actors who have much more experience are just as bad. The movie didn't really help out her out either by putting her on the spotlight with a bland story. I hope she gets some redemption in Fast and Furious 6.

I like goofy Clark, but he wouldn't fit in this film's approach at all. Like with many things I don't have a single without-a-doubt preference of how it should be. I've loved many different versions; Goofy Clark, classic mild mannered Clark, more confident Clark etc. It's more about merging with the overall approach and about being executed well.

Maybe they'll favor a kind of geeky Clark with a relaxed manner and more, for lack of a better term and I know I'm going to regret this, hipster look. Have him look more relaxed and keep him away from full three piece suits. Maybe he sticks with multi colored dress shirts like in the one pic we've seen of him.

I would have thought that too based on the spy photos of the interview/bicycle scene, but they seem to also be going for more formal, classic look as well. We have spy photos of a crowd scene in front of the Planet and there is a man, presumably Clark, that is the focus of the shot who appears to be wearing a grey three-piece suit except without his jacket and the sleeves of his shirt rolled up to the elbow.

I see mild mannered as Clark staying in the background and almost never drawing attention to himself, maybe a little geeky.

It was the 70's so maybe it's unfair of me to rail against it but I don't care for a constant stuttering and bumping into everything Daily Planet Clark Kent. I just cringe everytime I see something like that.

I find it particularly amusing that people rip on Gina's movies because "a woman can't take down an entire SWAT team!" Hey, reality check, a solo guy couldn't do it either.

Thank you! I am so sick of that arguement against women in action films. A guy would get his ass kicked as well, it's a fantasy so we don't care.

If you foolishly believe that a man could take down an entire Swat Team then I have a bridge I'd like to sell you.

Well, a man or woman or child could...if they were a suicide bomber. Now to take down a SWAT team and remain alive is another matter entirely.

I want to watch a movie with Gina Carano in it now. I have no idea what you all are talking about.

I do know I'll be seeing Fast 6 soon but other than that I know nothing about her except the fact she could kick my ass.

Birthright's take on Clark was right on, in my opinion. Shy, reserved, with practiced body language that's designed to turn him into a wallflower. But not bumbling in any way - he's perceived as smart and competent at his job.

This is how I feel DP Clark should be, I always hated Bumbling Clark Kent, for a man trying not to draw attention you'd think he'd realize that tripping over anyone and anything is a rather surefire way to draw attention to oneself, not to mention it's not the best method for keeping a pair of glasses on ones face.

Or the George Reeves Clark, who looked like Superman wearing glasses and a hat...
