Brilliant, funny ad. Would have been neat if they used the actual scene where he said that.

but it's not THAT different. its hard for you to understand our POV though cause you said yourself you dont like/havent read the comics. That's why it's good. It's comic book representations on screen. Into a movie verse. A lot of it is taken from the books. The Winter Soldier Arc, Thor, malekith and surtur saga. These films are HEAVILY based off the comics, they are different, but they are Marvel films, and are heavily heavily influenced by source material 50+ years old. That's why some of us get aggrivated when they stray from the comics. You say you don't see the big deal, but you don't read comics..for this reasoning... I like you dude, I do..but you don't have the right to make that type of judgement when you haven't read the comics or follow the source material/understand how important it is to us, that's all. For these characters we know and love, this is the first chance we get to see them in a..real..type of environment, and not having to imagine them while reading...so yeah, it's totally understandable how people would want to see these characters they've learned to love done total justice on screen to their comic book counter, some more so than others, and its 110% acceptable.. that's all

haha I know I look like an ignorant douche to some when I say I don't mind when they change things. But part of the reason I love the MCU so much is because they have all these 50-60 years worth of history to pull from. And I get to see these things for the first time represented in a new media of these stories that I've never read before that everyone who has read them enjoys so much. I don't make any of my statements meaning to change peoples personal feelings towards a certain element, just because I like they way they've done it doesn't mean anyone else has to, I get that.

But my only gripe is that some who have been reading the comics forever are so brash and arrogant in their beliefs that NOTHING can be changed from paper to screen, and I think that is a terrible way to approach this.

but I'm glad you like me :)

Put me in the camp of people who think elements should be interpreted and incorporated from source material rather than completely ripped from it, but I don't think the majority of Marvel characters have that luxuary, they ONLY have 40-50 years of material, and as characters they haven't stayed too far from their medium as say someone like spider-man, so staying as close to the comics is probably the best way to do things for now.

I guess in that sense i should applaud the "guts" of the IM3 twist. but execution really is everything.

If the "reveal" is true, then, some people have known as early as last year:

Yeah, I "knew" the big plot twist as early as last year, too, and that was entirely an educated guess. I've spent the last few months listening to people ***** at me and insult me and ridicule me for it, too. Whatevs. But hey, what do *I* know?

Earliest soundtrack release date is this Monday on Amazon MP3 Spain, can't grab it like Avengers due to geo-restrictions on cards used etc.

I think you guys should wait to see the "twist" for yourselves. Just know that it will get you to talk about it at length... And that it's not quite what you think you already know. Just be prepared for something totally unexpected.

Ok...but can you at least answer these round-a-bout questions?

1. After having seen the film, do you think there are more stories to tell involving the Mandarin in the MCU?

2. Do you think this "twist" will have further repercussions in other MCU films, or does it seem pretty self-contained within the Iron Man 3 story?

3. Is this twist revealed to the other major characters in the film (Tony, Pepper, Rhodey, etc.), or only to the audience?

Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:

1. I really don't think so.

2. It can, but only on a small scale. But it felt pretty much self-contained as it mostly revolved around Tony.

3. Both Tony and the audience at the same time.
