Default Todd Mcfarlane has a $300 million net worth

I love to see my comic book heroes get paid! It's amazing. But how did he get to be so well off? I remember Spider-Man, Spawn and Mcfarlane toys but that can't be it - can it?

Is he an investment genius as well as a master of comic book art?

I think it was the toy company.

He's made a lot of money, but the quality of the line has dropped. I purchased a Halo Reach figure years ago, and the arm fell off as soon as I tried applying rifle-peg to the hole in the back.

I'm sure being part owner of Image and probably getting a cut of all things Walking Dead helped as well, not to mention Spawn.

You are probably right, because it sure as heck is not the hockey figure line.

Yeah he's been pretty comfortable financially, although I still don't see why he doesn't go ahead with a Spawn sequel.

But I admire the man for his perseverance in keeping Spawn to a single title without the spinoffs/miniseries/crossovers, I see Spawn still in comic racks but haven't a clue if it's as popular as it was.
