The suit is looking glorious. I approve big time.

North America and maybe a few others.. The UK, I think Australia, and a few other countries will be getting it early on April 14 and the weeks following leading up to May 2.

Also, yes. We did discuss the eel rumor, though primarily about how similar it is to the TSSM origin of Electro.

thanks for your reply, man, i ended up going back and reading what ppl thought of the eel rumour.

april 14? you serious? that's so awesome, less than a yr away if true.

release dates are weird in australia, we get all the December-February movies weeks if not months later than the US, but we get the US pre-summer and summer movies a lot earlier.

Does anyone with CG experience know if this may be true?
I can't say whether it was an actual reason for the change, but yes, you are correct in that a smoother texture is cheaper to recreate.

Raimi's suit was an extremely comic-accurate design. By it's very nature, any other suit that wants to be comic-accurate will appear to look similar to Raimi's, because its Spider-Man. But looking at the details, its a completely different suit.

Aside from the honeycomb pattern of the red portions, everything else is different. The eyes, the spider-emblem, the raised pattern on the blue portions, the webbing is slightly raised, yes, but it is MUCH thinner, black and not beveled, the web pattern is different, and the shape of the red sections are different as well.

Yes, it's a stunt suit, which typically have a "one size fits all" fit (hence all the wrinkles), where as the hero suit is crafted specifically for Andrew. Stunt suits by their nature are cheaper and less pristine as they are not designed for close up inspection.

Loving the new suit. Everything looks great.

Not really sold on Jamie Foxx's hair choice but like others have said, he does look like a live-action Baxter Stockman. Regardless of that, I'm lovng everythng coming out of this sequel so far.

Man, it'd be great if he actually looked like Stockman, without the bad hair.

I accept this explanation and hereby award you a case of Turtle Wax and a year's supply of Rice-A-Roni The San Francisco Treat.

Just got back from visiting the set area, as seen above, inside filming today, nothing out on the street, for now. Ah well.

He appears to have a gash on his face. From an earlier fight?

Also, what is he reacting to... Rhino and Spidey? Spidey and Electro? Spidey and Green Goblin?

His meds? Seriously I'm getting a this-kid-just-got-out-of-intense-psychiatric-therapy vibe from these pics. I think Harry might be pretty messed up.

Seeing as how he's looking up I'm thinking he loss control of Electro.

And really, how does he look like he's on drugs? He just looks like he got his ass beat. Harry seems to be an important figure within Oscorp, I doubt he's a heavy drugy right now.

Can't wait to see that suit with proper cinematography and effects!

Harry looks like a scared 12 year old in these pics, lmao.

I didn't say anything about 'being a heavy druggy' but color me unsurprised you'd put words in someones mouth, Dent. The general vibe I get from the pics (and the black bags under Dehaan's eyes probably has a lot to do with it) is that he might be a little damaged already. It isn't like Harry's never went nuts before.
