I just want to say that after seeing The Wolverine, no one, and I mean no one can convey badass just with his facial expressions like Sir Ian Mckellen!

Difference between them is, Ian can be badass even when he's bored. Michal can't, as showcases in MoS.

I loved Zod in MOS, so disagree with you there. I wonder if Magneto and Mystique ever reconciled (she could be Pietro's mother).

We don't know the timeline, it's really messed up. I'm not saying it's true, just that it would fit with their interactions in the other films.

We don't know the timeline. First Class was in 1962 and this film is 1973. There's no way that can fit with Evan Peters' age.

Maybe he had an old GF, I don't know. They've just never hinted at that at all in previous films.

the original trilogy actually didnt hint at any past love interest of ANY character lol

So thats why the writers and creative team have that freedom regarding the prequels and future movies of this franchise.

I saw plenty of hints of Magneto/Mystique being intimate. But who knows what Singer has planned for DOFP.

If you listen to Bryan Singer's commentary from X2; he does mention that he purposefully played up a possible intimate connection between Mystique and Magneto.

Remember this little exchange on the XJet before the team storms Alkali Lake:

Wolverine: She's good
Magneto: You have no idea...

Not an accident--that little sexual innuendo was planned.

unless, by past love interest, you mean one not introduced in the films (as Mystique has been). In which case, disregard.

There were plenty of hints of magneto and mystique which were kinda confirmed by bedroom scene in first class.

Not to mention in X3, Magneto said "she was so beautiful" and was clearly upset when she was cured.

When Magneto said that "she was so beautiful" line, I took it as perhaps a mixture of his attraction to her, but more so, how Magneto views the mutant race as superior and beautiful.

Oh, they were definitely getting it on.

But the fact remains, she can't be Pietro's mother.

They missed a trick by not hinting that Azazel got Raven preggers, and then have her say she gave it away in this film. It would be a lovely touch.

Opening night of X2 during the scene where Mystique invades Stryker's base and

Wolverine: "She's good."

Magneto: "You have no idea."

That got one of the biggest groans/laughs from the audience.

"The old guy and the hot blue chick got 'together,'" .

Mags is neither that penty nor that juvenile to kill another mutant [and ally] cause he slept with a woman who he is at best his sex buddy.
