/sigh. After giving it some thought, I think the main reason I want Gwen to survive this one is I want a happy Spider-Man. Not one centered around death. Save the sorrow for the finale. :/

could very well be bogus. the lack of pics is pretty telling.

also, i got the bungee jump tid bit from cbm and the story itself is no longer up.

i'm fine with her dying in this one. has to happen some time. i'd just prefer for it not to be spoiled.

it'd suck to know a) that she dies and b) who is the culprit, prior to going in

For anyone who is hoping for a suit for rhino it's probably best not to hold your breath

All this seems a big chance like it will be a cross species trilogy, building up to the creation of the goblin

Lizard, rhino, eels obviously Webb likes to keep to an idea through out the trilogy it seems

According to that website, filming at the Times Square set has already completed and the set is being dismantled.

Well, just because this franchise centers around cross-species doesn't mean we won't get a mechanical suit of some sorts. This has been said before, but it's worth bringing up again.

Also, i really like the idea of one or several running themes throughout the movies. We sort of know that cross-species is a thing, and the first movie gave us awesome Spider-man parkour-like action. I'm hoping we'll see more of that.

True but its better to be surprised then to be disappointed, thing is when Connors become the lizard he grew in size so nothing stopping the rhino, a suit may not be needed at all

Could be a suit but still best not to bank hope up just incase

Though at least with Electro he isn't turning into a giant cross-species eel, which I think is safe to assume. Oscorp probably found a way to extract the electricity from them and give it to a human.

Webb has once again exceeded my expectations with this film. This is coming from someone who is a fan of the first film and defended it left and right. And even I am not expecting the stuff that I have been seeing so far.
As far as casting goes, Webb has done a fantastic job. The quality of actors/actresses in this production is all around solid. Giamatti looks friggin awesome as Aleksei...a real tough guy. He's gonna blow my mind when I see him playing out this part, I just know it. So psyched.

I can not help but wonder what Steve Ditko thinks of a movie about his most famous creation being shot in his home town?

And using so many of his villains in these movies - even if some of them are "ultimate" versions...

I have no idea if they are shooting anywhere near him this time, but I do know the Oscorp HQ building from ASM was only a few blocks for his place - do you suppose he ever wandered by to take a look?

So, will they avoid JJJ for the entire trilogy? I understand being intimidated by the previous trilogy's perfect portrayal of him, but that shouldn't discourage them from moving forward with a different take on the character. Raimi's JJJ was the perfectly portrayed classic, over the top caricature version, perhaps Webb can take him in his more dimensional, nuanced modern interpretation.

Have they said whether Aleksei is American born or immigrated? Wonder if Giamatti will have an accent?
