I do, I think, remember the time stamp of what I think Jack's referring to. 1:17:25 roughly, I believe.

Let me tell you, driving on a scorching hot day with the windows rolled down and "Imagine the Fire" blasting really brought me back to all the emotions I was feeling last summer, both before and after the release of the film. It was nice to be reminded of the passion that I had (and still do) for this franchise, as it's easy to get jaded when you've seen the films tons of times and spend a lot of your time debating them and reading people's criticisms of them.

I'll truly miss the hype. Man of Steel is easily my most anticipated film of 2013 but if I'm being honest, it doesn't hold a candle to my hype for TDK and TDKR. No matter how great it is, it just comes down to me being more of a Batman fan. I can't recreate the same enthusiasm for every big franchise film, and Nolan's Bat-films just had a very, very special place in my heart and they definitely have left a void. I've got a wedding to go to the weekend MOS comes out and I probably won't even get to see it opening weekend. Whereas with TDKR, I missed a rehearsal dinner for a wedding just to make sure I caught the midnight show. And people actually understood, because they all know how big a Batman fan I am.

Don't get me wrong though, I'm not hating on MOS. It looks freakin' spectacular and stands a chance to be a quite special film. Just, Batman>Superman is all, in general. If I can't say that here, where can I say it?!
As I've stated on the MoS boards, I really hope the movie's as good as it looks. If that happens, I'll be satisfied. If it surpases that expectation, all the better.

I know what you mean about feeling jaded about the TDK trilogy. To me, I think it hit, rather unfortunately, by the time TDKR came out (that also probably had to do with me hyping the movie up so much). But it also probably had somethig to do with me watching both BB and TDK some 20 times in the years preceding TDKR.

So that's how Bruce remains undetected in Italy. A bunch of disguises.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I think after a while I start to get numbed out by the marketing blitz. Like, with TDKR I think my excitement peaked with trailer 3 and the MTV trailer. By the time trailer 4 hit and all the TV spots started coming, it was like I was already starting to feel slightly fatigued by everything.

It's the same thing now with MOS Trailer 4 for me. The footage looks really cool, but I just feel 4 trailers is a bit overkill and unnecessary. Kinda wish I hadn't watched it, same goes for all the TV spots too.

I can think of better things to do in retirement that stand near Jeremy Renner.

I'm much more of a Batman fan(he's my favorite DC hero while Captain America is my favorite Marvel hero), I am definitely excited for Man of Steel, although I still wish he kept to himself and wasn't part of Warner Brothers' DC cinematic universe...a solo Superman trilogy would be great.

But..Nolan's mind behind it with Goyer, Snyder directing it, Zimmer doing the score and I'm loving Cavill as Superman...should be a phenomenal film.

Hey guys, just want to let you know there's a petition for including movie costumes as DLC for Injustice God Among us, for any batfans who are playing Injustice right now thinking it would be awesome to play with BB or TDK's costume.

I hope his wife told him this:

But in all seriousness, Bale had better cool it with his weight yo-yoing. American Hustle looks like it's going to be great though.

So it really is true that Nolan doesn't believe in special effects.

Hahaha, Bale could always blame his health problems on Hardy indeed

But, I think it happened during The Machinist weight loss.
