I wonder why change it to jenny though? Wouldn't there need to be a reason behind it? I wonder what a female version could bring to the table that they wanted. Probably a Chloe type role like mentioned before.

Guys, what are you talking about. Chloe was the worst character in the history of characters.

Not sure if you are serious. Especially on that show. She wouldn't have made the top 20 worst on that show.

She was okay, super overrated but okay. Better than Lana Lang.

But I think you will always need to compare comic book movies. It helps separate great (Nolan Batman trilogy) from good (all the MCU films) and good from bad (Green Lantern, Catwoman etc.)
But not everyone thinks the Nolan movies are great and not everyone thinks the MCU films aren't. That's what starts flame wars where they do not need to be.

Most likely a combo of Chloe and gender exchanging of characters on Battlestar Galactica.

If you played a drinking game with Chloe's pop culture references, you'd die after half an episode. She was mega annoying.

I see Jenny Olsen as more of a wallflower type of girl. Which is cute, but hopefully the rumor of Jimmy being her brother and being on the bench till the sequel is true.

They're not the ones you should be worrying about

If it's something as simple as "we tried to cast for Jimmy but just couldn't find the right one" then I can live with it. As long as the essence of the character is the same. Plus, it'd be cool to see Lois and Jenny be buds in the movie. Just saying.

Or maybe Jenny is Perry's secreta---er, assistant who hopes to move up to photographer

Less her personality, more her function. Though I could definitely see her crushing on Clark. It all depends on if they tied her to Clark in the sequels of course. I don't even think she is going to meet Clark this time around.

Lana Lang was easily one of the most horrendous characters in the history of television. Good lord man...what the hell was that about.

I decided to go to the Cavill thread after reading your post. It seems he will be testing your ability to not get banned for a little while.

Lana and all her boyfriends. She even dragged Lex's down after he started out promising.

I am a 28 year old male (straight) with several female friends I do not want to sleep with. Maybe YOU can't have a friend of the opposite sex but many are.

I'm trying my darnest to stay on topic.

So how about that Superman...

Maybe Jenny is Lois friend?

I could totally see Lois being a bit bossy to Jenny, while still being a friend. A lot of "Miss Lane". Jenny perhaps admires her?

Nice bit of look back, just to compare with the one that we're getting with MOS:

You can download a PDF of the 65 pages 'Superman-The Movie Collector's Album' from which the above image is taken:
http://www.capedwonder.com/whats-new-in-2013/

I actually have this book, it's somewhere in the storage in my old house.

Just watched that shield promo, I love whedon but looking at the footage really highlights one thing, most of those marvel(phase one and a half movies) are often lit and shot like tv shows.

Snyder to the Rescue.
Just one more thing to appreciate.

This is true for the most. The only ones that don't really qualify are IM2 Cap and Thor, though they even have their moments.
