The Clippers can hire any coach they want, the fact is, until Blake and more importantly Jordan, become consistent enough offensively to command double and triple teams in the paint, they aren't getting out of the WC. Sure, Del Negro's "offense" consisted of letting CP3 do whatever the hell he felt like doing at the moment, but what better options were there?

I'm too lazy to check Bledsoe's contract status, but trying to parlay him into a decent 2 guard would be a start. Blake's game and variety of scoring has improved a bit, but hang up the phone on Jordan.

Probably right about that, unfortunately...

I sold a Dwight Howard Lakers jersey to some woman today at work. I asked if she was sure and she was like "Yeah, why?" I'm like "Nothing."

I wonder who CP3 would want to be hired as the new coach of the Clippers. Analysts seemed to think that Byron Scott has a decent chance.

Chris Paul’s preference is to stay with the Clippers but he wants them to hire an African-American coach, according to multiple league sources. The Clips’ best bet for keeping Paul with a long-term deal might be to hire Nate McMillan, who can have the Pistons job and any number of bad-to-so-so jobs that are out there, as the replacement for Vinny Del Negro, whose current contract is expiring and is not getting a new deal.

“Nate’s too good of a coach not to be coaching in the league,” said Kevin Pritchard, the Indiana GM who was McMillan’s boss in Portland. “Whoever gets Nate is going to get a hell of a coach.” Remember, McMillan and Paul have ties from Team USA.

How many number one picks is that for the Cavs now?

Suns with the fifth and the only thing keeping me calm is that there's sweet FA out there this year anyway.

Is Phoenix really in play for Dwight or CP3 though? Unless you're talking about guys like JSmoove or Monta.

No. I mean I'd be pissed with our fairly low position and limited prospects for next year if it weren't for the fact that I know there's not much out there anyway.

Sour grapes.

Joe Dumars has around 25M of cap space to play with. The last time he was in such a position, Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva got 90M in contracts. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited by the potential folly here. In fact, I'm downright giddy.

Wow, Tony Allen totally flopped on that play just to draw a flagrant foul. Its shameful, and I hate to say it, it was a smart play.

Let's see how smart it is once the league takes a look at the video. It also doesn't help that despite pushing the game to OT, they still lost.

You didn't read the whole sign, the other side said "not generally... Well at least compared with Manu over there. We plan to save money by doing away with our floor cleaners and just letting Ginobili slide up and down the court on his back in between quarters like some kind of Argentinian zamboni."

It was a pretty long and complicated sign really, you can see why they all chose to hold up the other side.

The flop (which, it was a flop) shouldn't have even factored into the ref's decision to call a flagrant foul. They should have been looking at the actual foul and intent, not at the fall, which could have been a flop (and was) or just an awkward landing.

The flagrant should be rescinded, Tony Allen should be fined for flopping, and the refs should be embarrassed.

Oh well, I'm guessing that at least the first two requests will come to fruition.
