And he and his brother reviewed Iron Man 3 as themselves, btw, I think it's pretty good.
They do bring up great points granted I just hope after the points they do raise that IM3 is on the same level of TDKR. After both reviews I can't see how TDKR deserved a big 30 minute negative review whereas IM3 gets a little tap on the wrist.

Also Red Letter Media is also a good place for me the way they dissect films is brilliant. Haven't agreed with some recent ones though.

Yeah, I think the video is at least 20 minutes if I remember correctly, but Doug is a BIG Batman fan IIRC, so it would make sense if he felt stronger about it to me in a way.

And with whoever said that this is the dumb person who won't like MOS' review....after checking her stuff out, in so many words, I have to agree, this isn't someone who's opinion I really value based on who she seems to be. Lol. NO OFFENSE to her.

You're right, I must have him confused with someone else. The dude I'm looking for gave Inception three stars and TDKR 3/1 2. I can't find him though, I remember him having a familiar critic name, though.

Okay, just watched the whole thing, an honestly, I have to agree with most of the things he said there about TDKR. He made some excellent points for me.

If we are talking about critics we like and follow it's still Devin Faraci for me. I know people on here hate him but I don't care. His is the only review I might read and if he doesn't like it I will be concerned.

We both have a lot in common when it comes to what's surrounding this film. We both think the film looks amazing, that Snyder is underrated, we have similar feelings about Nolan's Bat-films and we found Superman Returns to be a bore. There are differences of course and I've disagreed with him many, many times before but we agree more than I do any other critic.

The the idea behind finding a critic you trust is really a way to figure out if certain movies are worth checking out or not.

When it comes to this genre it's a moot point because we're all going to see the movie no matter what. I guess it the becomes about wanting to feel validation or something, which we're all guilty of at one point or another.

Seriously though, I don't care if MoS ends up in the 70s or RT (I highly doubt it would), I'd still go in with an open mind that it could be great. I feel like more than ever in fan culture we try to determine a movie's worth before we've even seen it. It gets a bit exhausting.

I like to read critics reviews, its not really ever gonna turn my opinion. I just enjoy reading them, I just don't like reviews where they say they liked it or disliked it but don't say why.

^ I only read critical reviews after I've seen the movie, cause many can't help but spoil. Up to that point, I just check percentages at RT. I make exceptions now and then.

And do you not see the problem with this?

I read Ebert. I enjoyed his writing and insight. I also loved his reviews of fanboy properties because he didn't care about all the nonsense.

Most other reviews I read are for pure entertainment.

I just hope mos gets good reviews so that it can be successful, so we can get a sequel. Reviews never sway me or affect my experience. Hell, only god forgives is getting ripped apart by critics but it's still my 2nd most anticipated movie of the year.

What if it is a terrible movie? Do you want success, a sequel?
