I don't think there's enough time for the Purple Wedding next episode. And even if they did do that, they certainly wouldn't have the following conflicts resolve itself in the first episode of next season. Think of how much needs to happen Joffrey has to get poisoned and die. Tyrion has to be accused. Tyrion has to undergo trial. The Red Viper has to agree to stand for him (and we need to build in his backstory to unerstand why he's doing this) and then we need to see the famous Mountain Red Viper fight, AND THEN we will finally get to Tyrion offing his dad.

I'm betting the events you mentioned won't take place until the finale of season 4. There's just a ton to get through. Not to mention, we know the Purple Wedding won't take place next episode because the Red Viper is at that wedding, and they're just now doing casting calls for that character.

LOL! Watching all the youtube reaction videos to that episode makes me realize that I am not at all relating or appreciating this show as much as other people.

Or you're like me and have seen plenty of better-executed violent scenes that the mere depiction of women getting stabbed is by itself not enough to reduce you to tears.

I like this show, but honestly, until the last part, that scene reminded me (in a bad way) of the Hamlet-inspired swordfight between Pugsley and Wednesday from the Addams Family.

Not even about how executed the violence is (which I won't argue, I'm pretty indifferent about it), I'm completely unconnected to most of the characters. I'm honestly not really going to miss those characters.

You mean, another role as a noble hero who can't see a treacherous massacre waiting to happen?

That's....interesting. I can't say I agree with you at all, nor do I think many would, but it's certainly interesting.

Unless there's crazy makeup involved, the actor is bound to be recognized. They did it with Selmy. They've changed other things around so they won't be doing it with Theon. Same rule must apply to Stoneheart. Although, she could have her face covered if they went with the original epilogue. I hope that's not what they do, though.

At this point, I'll probably be a bit disappointed if that isn't the last scene.

Also, let's not forget that they seem to be using an extra ten minutes for the finale again this year. That gives room for a few extra bits and pieces.

I think the way the book does it works very well with it's structure of POV but I also think the resurrection of Catelyn will be the more dramatic choice for the TV show so I can't really see them going any other way. Especially since they probably can't go back and show how she was created if they don't show it now, as I don't think they'll want to hire the actor for Beric for just one scene in the next season.

I agree, I've gotten my hopes for that so set that it's basically an expectation by now.

You're not alone but it's not because of better-executed violence in my case. I just don't cry, nor shed tears because of a show or a movie. I'm not stoic of course and can feel emotion for powerful dramatic scenes because they are just too awesome ( Vader/Luke duels in EP2-3, Arthur knighted in Excalibur by example ).
I also think that people tend to be over-dramatic and exaggerate their feelings when commenting TV show or movie.
The American audience seems to be more over the top in their emotions than French when expressing their feeling about entertainment subjects ( show, movies etc ). It can be a false impression from me though.
Age can matter too.

Note : Robb took it like Boromir, full of arrows but still standing

Watching Bran in the first episode of the series, it's like he's aged six years over the past three seasons.

It's going to be hard to suspend disbelief when he grows a full beard.

He'll continue to rapidly age while the actor playing Jojen, who's I think 23 now, continues to look 16.

Wow that's weird it looks like he's supposed to be around brans age yet the actor playing bran is almost a decade younger than him.
