Green Goblin is great though, I hope to see The Death Of Gwen Stacy on the big screen, or Atleast something like it. I'd be fine if they killed MJ since I'm a Gwen Stacy fan... Lol

Batman's villains are such a diverse bunch coming from all walks of life and all with very different obsessions and psychologies.
And they always seem to represent an extreme form of Batman's psychology. Spider-Man has a lot of colorful, memorable villains, but they don't have the psychological connection to Spidey that characters like The Joker, The Riddler, Ra's Al Ghul, or Two-Face have with Batman.

Green Goblin is Spideys best friend's dad. Depending on what Universe, he helped create the Spider that bite him (Ultimate Spider-Man and TASM film series)

But what does that have to do with the psychology of the main character? Two-Face used to be best friends with Bruce Wayne, but that is secondary to the fact that both of them went through similar traumas and one decided to become a nutjob criminal while the other decided to fight crime.

I don't think that's a factor in how Reeve and RDJ are perceived. Having a great villain wouldn't have negated Reeve or RDJ's performances. It would've only strengthened the overall films. Mckellan being an awesome Magneto doesn't stop the praise Jackman gets as Wolverine.

But it does stop the entire film from feeling like it's only about him. Not to mention X-Men is an ensemble anyway, so that's sort of a flawed comparison.

^ Not when the entire X Franchise revolves around Wolverine. The X Films are not ensemble movies in the same way The Avengers is. Wolverine is essentially the main character and the x men are his supporting characters.

X-Men is a lot more of an ensemble than Iron Man.

And? The main point is that having a great villain dosen't have to mean that they get all the attention and the lead dosen't. And debates about ensembles aside, Jackman is the leading man of most of the X Films.

The point is X-Men doesn't feel like it's the Jackman/Wolverine show. Not the way that Superman or Iron Man feel like the Reeve/RDJ show.

^ Yeah...needless to say, we disagree on what the X Films feel like.

TDK is on TNT right now and anyway, I love that scene where Gordon yelled (/reprimanded) Ramirez when she said that Batman is the reason why the guys (Harvey, Dent) were dead. Gotta love the Batman/Gordon bromance.

top 3 random moments;

Bruce knocking out the goon and dismantling the shotgun.

Gordon shouting, 'I have to save Dent!" while aiming a gun at Batman.

The Chechen saying, 'Jokerman'.

One of my favorite Bruce Wayne moments in the trilogy. I always like to think that that scene is a nod to Bond. I don't know... That scene always screams like an awesome bad-ass Bond moment to me.

DETECTIVE!!

I love how Batman appears from the back of the room, already there before Gordon and the cops arrive.

They don't even notice him in there when they burst in pointing guns until he makes his presence known by speaking and walking out of the shadows. I loved that.

A thousand viewings later, and I still get chills from the last 10 minutes. Very few dramas and no comicbook films have had a scene that matches the intensity, fear, doubt, sadness, and triumph that Batman/Gordon/Dent have.

"Tell your boy he's going to be alright, Gordon. Lie....like I lied"

Eckhart's best scene, IMO. He was at maximum intensity here.

As far as focus and story arcs go the X-films have a pretty strong focus on Wolverine, Rogue, Jean Grey, Magneto and Xavier, with solid content for Storm and a few others. They are every bit the ensemble that the Angers is.
