Indestructible Hulk would make for a very good vehicle for Ruffalo.

Agreed. Even if shield is no more, I think the basic concepts there would help in constructing a new hulk movie

I can't wait to see more of the big guy on Age of Ultron. By far, my favorite avenger!

Mark on his role in AOU (via Total Film):

"[My role's] even bigger than last time, and it's more complex and it has more layers and a bit more arc" the star says.

Not only that, but it seems that the motion capture process is becoming a whole lot more agreeable second time around.

"I'm really tripping on the technology of this motion-capture stuff… now I just completely embrace it and see it as this other exciting place we can go as performers.

Ruffalo has been awesome on the Graham Norton show.

He was riding a unicycle and then an even bigger unicycle! Hilarious.

So of all the badass things hulk could have the chance to say, you want him to ask for jello?

I'm curious as to what Mark means by hulk will be able to do more due to the technological advances in cgi. Maybe that means hulk can speak more.

It was weird that Marvel didn't cast Mark until the morning of comic-con.

Maybe they had been in negotiations for a while. I don't remember when we found out norton was out.

I really want his persona to be a mixture of Savage and Fixit, like the current incarnation...before the whole weird ass **** happening with Banner as of late I mean.

So I wonder if this means that the rumors of Banner getting a love interest in the movie are true?

I'm starting to really dig the idea of an Iron Man and Hulk team up movie.

Aside from giving the studio a chance to experiment with an in-between of solo movies and full ensembles, the obvious appeal of seeing more Science Bros, and the epic car chase scene I have in my head (involving Tony in a cool car that houses an emergency armor that he'll need once he gets hit by the death lasers of the AIM caravan they're chasing, and Hulk leaping about, throwing cars and stuff at said caravan... ahem), I think there's some workable business decisions in such a movie.

1. They need a successful Hulk centric movie to save the franchise and potentially lead to a Planet Hulk/WWH. Can't have another average reception like TIH if you want Jade Jaws to have momentum outside of Avengers sequels. Having RDJ co-star could raise the hype by mountains alone. RDJ is only slotted/affordable for A2 and A3 yes, but maybe the studio can bargain with him for one more solo-ish run, especially since Mark Ruffalo could be taking lead and hey, they're best buds.

2. By making it a joint venture, you simultaneously have an effective Iron Man 4 and Hulk 2 wrapped up in one. Give them a common enemy (and I'm thinking a full fledged AIM, which was already established in IM3 but probably far from say... MODOK territory) but their own stakes and it could be a fun romp that advances each character just enough to put them in new places and relationships in time for A3.

....

or maybe the entire idea is terrible and would instantly fall flat on its face if the studio tried it. What do I know? I'm just some guy on the internet.

Or maybe it means Hulk can now ride a unicycle.

It would be great to see Tony and Hulk singing/dancing to Puttin on The Ritz (Young Frankenstein style)

I think Ruffahulk is the best Hulk so I'm happy that Bruce/Hulk will be getting some more screentime, I especially hope we get more scenes of him and Tony working together. (I love the science bros)
I really want him to say, "Avengers, assemble!" at some point.
