Interesting, so it sounds like it could possibly be single-player based as well as multiplayer?

yeah but I kinda mentioned that and Ubisoft was hinting with all that was said since gamespot mentioned this as well . So Spidey ville doesn't have to worry about it that much any more. Now that this is made clear. he already knew that there would be progression, but now it will seem some what personalized too. which was what was missing in DCUO for him.

So apparently the little drone thing we saw in the demo is what you control if you're using a tablet. The drone has it's own progression and skills, including buff/debuff as well as offensive capabilities.

So the individual who was on the tablet, was he also online with his PS4? Or was it an app he downloaded and then he jumped into his friends game? Cuz in the video he just popped in, did his thing and then he was like, alright guys i gotta leave. Interesting stuff.

Didn't they show someone using a tablet during the demo? But yeah, I think its just an app. IGN interviewed the guy who presented the game and he said you could access it from anything, like on a bus, a coffee shop or your couch, as long as you can get an internet connection.

they did they said if you have tablet or smart phone and aren't able to access a character you can help your friends with the drone via a tablet and that thin levels up and does all the stuff whiskey mention in each demo they showed at E3

Just noticed in the demo right before the guy closes to door on the cop car, the other dude sets up a little automated machine gun turret on the hood of the car he's hiding behind. This looks friggin amazing.

The Division: Ubisoft encourages players to sign PC petition – over 50,000 do

Two games at E3 occupied the frustrating position of looking Quite Good, yet only being confirmed for consoles. But where Bungie’s Destiny remains tantalisingly out of reach, Ubisoft’s latest Clancyesque shooter – The Division – has been more vocal in its teasing of a possible PC future. According to DSOGaming, the game’s developers – while taking part in a Machinima livestream – encouraged PC players to “sign petitions, get on the forums and post their requests.”

Also well it seems alot of this was known actually, but any way minus what the agency in this game is about.

Ubisoft made a big splash with Tom Clancy’s The Division at E3 this year (it was one of our favorite things at the show), but aside from a gameplay video and some outrageous noise about the game possibly not coming to PC, real details have been thin on the ground. Enter Ubisoft’s official blog, with a huge pile of info about the upcoming open-world MMORPG. Communication Manager (and former PCG (Editor-in-Chief) Gary Steinman laid out a ton of specifics, so let’s dive right in.

So it's confirmed as an open-world MMORPG. Awesome.

they are not calling an MMO cause of the way it works is some what a little different, and that word is loosing it's meaning even more so these days cause of how certain people that just throw words around and don't really care about the meaning of any thing any more. But ubisoft said you can decide for your self once you play it. But for now they aren't calling it an MMO as you can see in those video interviews and the articles. .

Sounds like the same thing Bungie is saying about Destiny.

Throwing in online elements and calling a game MMO this upcoming gen seems like the way for publishers to control the used game issue, by forcing you to be online to play. Its kind of smart to disguise it that but its also obvious what they are doing. I suspect more games will do this. We already have The Crew which operates the same way even though its a racing game

yeah I'll put is this way it was said in a article of game spot about that one too they just have some element's of other ames from other genre's but are not MMO's at all it just a page over also this was what was said in this

Features

Best of E3 2013: RPG & Racing

The ROTR team discuss the best RPGs and Racing games of E3 2013...

That the lines of genres are being blurred and when it 'll come to award titles like this alot of people won't know where to place something like The Division and Destiny cause they aren't really what you originally think they are at all. the crew sort fit's this category too to some degree.

And no I doubt this was made as a control device for used games.

I'm all for it, I love co-op and doing missions and exploring with other people, anything that isn't omgdeathmatchlulz. The entire time I was playing Dragon's Dogma I was wishing it had 2-player co-op.

Not every genre needs co op and to have it forced on you the player. Not a fan of The Crew being online only. I really hope it doesn't become a trend. Online play should be optional IMO

Ubisoft always makes sure the games they make has options int them. so that the player has the freedom to what they want to do. if they did have thee chance the first time around it's there in latter installments.

The Division can be played on singleplayer mode as well, so there's no problem. Same as Destiny. I don't think this strictly online thing will become a strong trend.

Maybe you can point out where I said anything had to be forced. I just said I liked it. Sorry if that twists your knickers.
