I actually didn't think of it that way! shame on me!

I wouldn't necessarily classify it as little, but it is just a small scene. I love the last bit with Clark as a kid with the "red cape" playing while Jonathan is watching him. It was shown in the trailers a lot but in the context of the film, when he strikes that familiar hero Superman pose it was a lot more sentimental than I thought it would be. It might be one of the most powerful scenes of the movie for me, I damn near wanted to tear up for various reasons.

I also loved how they edited the first flashback, with the country song and the school bus it was a smooth transition from present to past.

You know a movie that was deemed to serious, there were a lot of funny/smile worthy scenes and moments. "If you could stop measuring your *****..." was pure gold.

The "you die or I do" dialogue by Zod right before the epic comic book Zod vs. Superman collision scene.

It's not country. =) It's a bluesy rock tune from the soundtrack to the movie Singles performed by Chris Cornell of Soundgarden -- one of my personal favorites. >> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TksqEIl1uxU

The garage that teenage Clark got beat up in front of in Smallville was named "Sullivan's." A nod to Chloe Sullivan's character on Smallville? Maybe her father's garage?

not sure if it's a little thing, but Cavill's performance during the scene where he defeated Zod was amazing, I know some will disagree but I though he made a moment that a lesser actor would've messed up, and made it one of the movie's most gut-wrenching and tender moments. I really felt bad for Clark in that scene.

There were so many little thing to appreciate, but I loved the scene where Clark tells the priest that he is the one that Zod is looking for. I thought the priest was going to swallow his tongue. The look on his face was priceless.

Zod also hesitating for just one second when you can see him question his actions and finally he total turn to villainy.

There's so many to name, but the one that stuck out to me was when Kal's flying through the cityscape during the battle with Zod. I was watching it in 3D, and the way they captured the sense of speed during that scene was just breathtaking. Just the rush and sense of adrenaline I got. I don't think I've ever seen speed while flying captured like that.

Okay, maybe not a "little thing", but it was still awesome.
