I actually focused on 300 as propaganda in a paper I wrote for one of my cinema classes whe I did a pretty in depth analysis of the movie.

Lol ordinarily I wouldn't be bothered, but we had to use films we watched in class, one of which was 300. The class was called cinema and the ancient world, we studied the application of modern themes and aesthetics in ancient world settingsor stories, I wrote about life of Brian, 300 and o brother where art thou.

Ah, I see, very interesting.

I see. I barely even thought of it as an Alien prequel really.

I wasn't sure about the latter two but they're both over 60% on RT and 6 on IMD-.......wait....woah. I didn't realize Batman Forever was that low.

Henry Cavill looks more like Christopher Reeve than Brandon Routh did.

Henry Cavill, fwiw, also looks more like Superman than Brandon Routh did.

Silent Hill Revelations is on par with the first Silent Hill film. Revelations feels more like a dark fantasy than outright horror. In that regard, I find it one of the best fantasies I've seen on film.

I thought Craig Robinson was funnier than everyone else in This Is The End, him and Michael Cera.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but Craig Robinson always makes me laugh more than I should. Don't know why, I find him extremely funny.

I thought This is the End held deep philosophical thoughts on what truly makes a person good and whether a person can still be good if they are only doing good deeds in order to attain greatness and not just because they are good.

Although, in fairness, the homophobic aspect was raised as far back as when the comics were first released. I think Alan Moore was someone who was vocally critical of it for that, but I can't remember the exact details behind it. And, honestly...I don't care.
That's what people said about black face. It's bad enough my people are only ever depicted as evil in the news and movies, but a movie with SOME historical link? Especially coming from an author who is legitimately known for being racist? It's annoying. Racism is very real. If you want to dismiss it because you want to enjoy the action or whatever, say that, don't say "Meh, why should we care!?" or "pfft... it's not actually racist".

It's racist. To deny that is just plain ignorance, denial or agreement. I had the same feeling about the first film, Not Without My Daughter and Argo.

It's one of my guilty pleasures. Even when I'd cut 15-20 minutes of bad jokes.

B89 is better than BB, no doubt. And Batman Returns, with all its problems, did right what TDKR did wrong: Bruce Wayne doesn't get Catwoman and have a happy ending sipping coffee forever after. That just doesn't happen with Batman.

Woah, bring it back down. I wasn't commenting on the racism, I was commenting that's it's such a ****** film, I don't see why anyone could care enough to examine it

I actually enjoy 4 CB films that most people seem to hate. Not saying any of them are great movies, but I find them all to be decently entertaining time wasters.
1) Daredevil
2) Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer
3) Green Lantern
4) Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance

Again, none of them are great, but I enjoy watching them. Maybe guilty pleasures or just growing up with a bad Hulk and Wonder Woman tv show, a really bad Spider-Man tv show and 2 terrible Capt. America tv movies! And don't get me started on the Wonder Woman tv movie with Cathy Lee Crosby and Ricardo Montalban!

Some people think these modern CB films are bad! You should have lived through the '70s! LoL

I genuinely can't understand the hate towards 98's Godzilla. I think is a perfectly entertaining piece of adventure film, with an amazing atmosphere and special effects.

1) I also thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the director's cut.
2) It was decent, not terrible. Much better than the first one, at least. Galactica Cloud was crap, though.
3) I liked it, not loved it. Maybe it's because I am a Hal Jordan fanboy. It wasnt great, but I would rather watch it than some of the ones that are more popular/more highly regarded. I don't get the hate for Reynolds or Lively, either.
4) Haven't seen it, but only because the first one was so bad. I do need to give it a chance.

Hey Donnie. Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance is not great, but I thought it was WAY better than the first film, and at least it moves from the opening scene to the end. It's a dumb horror/superhero film but I found it to be stupidly entertaining! Lol. Don't expect too much, but I personally thought it was fun.

As far as F4:ROTSS, I agree, the Galactus cloud was **** but I liked the way they did the Surfer and I thought they caught the feel of the team much better than the first film. Dr. Doom was better too, though not perfect.

The Daredevil Directors cut is much better, but I enjoyed the theatrical cut as well. I think it's the first "gritty" comic book film. Not as successful as the Nolan/Batman films, but it was first!

I also think Green Lantern is underrated. It's not great and it has it's share of problems (the Parallex cloud and the big-headed villain whose name I can't remember right now) but it's got some good moments (the OA scenes and Mark (?) Strong as Sinestro)

Anyway my 2 cents
