Irrelevant, it is still a racist trend in film that non-white characters die first, most, and get less screentime.

Also, it is "I couldn't care less." If you could care less, then you do care to an indeterminate degree.

No. I was asking for a film in which more than simply straight white men were the heroes, and which didn't make all minority characters turn evil or get them killed. This is a far cry from a perfect film. It is however, a far cry closer to what X-Men was all about in the first place.

I would not take it as a point of pride as you seem to do that you do not care that non-white characters are treated poorly in media. It is a very real problem in media, that itself reflects the very real problems in culture that does not care about how marginalised groups are given treatment.

Daniel Day Lewis is one of the last actors you could possibly name who "acts the same in every movie".

He acts so well in every movie.

Does that count?

Don't know how unpopular this is, but:

I don't want an X-Men/Fantastic Four crossover from Fox. At all. It's hard enough to have equal character development in X-Men movies given how crowded they are, and the plan is to complicate that by adding the FF into the mix? Not a good move, IMO.

Tough guy
Treats a guy like a son
Gets angry and makes some lose blood
Gets frustrated with his boy

Any movie not using this pattern?

Hmm. Seems to me a year ago if you DARED criticize ANY of Nolan's films on here you risked death.

Same here. Not just because of the problem trying to give them all decent screen time, but I've always found the FF to be incredibly silly. Only things I really liked about their comics is Dr. Doom, Galactus and Silver Surfer. The Thing is kind of cool, but I don't care for the rest of them. Those past two terrible films didn't help to change my views either.

Much as I like Tom Cruise, I think he should do a movie where the surprising plot twist is that the people he works for DID NOT lie to him.

I don't think ANY of Nolan's Batman films are the Holy Grail of comic book movies that they're being made out to be. In fact I think the best Batman movie overall, having had some time to digest and review, is Burton's first. But to me the PERFECT Batman movie would be a combination of Nolan's gritty urban realism, Burton's creepy edginess AND a smidge of Schumacher's over-the-top theatrics.

Man Of Steel is by leaps and bounds the best DC movie ever made.

I liked Tyler Perry in Alex Cross.

Avengers is the best comic book movie of all time.

The Spider-Man reboot was as poorly made as it was unnecessary.

Iron Man 3 is far better than every Marvel Studios movie besides Iron Man.

Then why isn't it in your top ten of the year?

Lincoln, for one. My Left Foot. The Last of the Mohicans. The only movies that vaguely follow your pattern are There Will Be Blood and Gangs of New York, and even then, Bill the Butcher and Daniel Plainview are still two vastly different characters.

I agree that the origin again was unnesseaary and I would have prefered that they didn't do that. I think after 3 something needed to change. I and many others enjoy both Rami and Webb. It was my personal favourite as it was an adaption of Ultimate Spider-Man which were the first comics that I ever read and my personal favourite comic book series untill past issue #96ush when it went downhill. I defentatly think Spidey 2 is the best SM film and pis singly other CBM's in terms of action, story and theme.

NOLANITES would create as many IMDB accounts as possible to make TDKR look superior to it.

I'm going to give it another watch when it hits Blu Ray before sorting it in. I've seen most of the others more recently. I definitely like it a lot more than most of the MCU, just want to watch it alongside some of the others on the list first before figuring that part out. In general though, I don't love the MCU. It's good, but not great overall. Just those two standout entries for me.

I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better series of comic films than Del Toro's two Hellboys. This, from a Hypester who feels the TDKR is superior to the whole of the MCU (IM3 excepted).

I did not like IM3... I thought the mandarin twist was a waste of potential.

I hated the twist as well; I liked Black's ambitions for the film and its message. Also, I like Tokka and Razar better than Bebop and Rocksteady. They look fiercer, if you ignore the whole baby thing.

I wonder what made Black think that the fan community would not care for the twist?

I imagine he figured having Killian using Extremis and the dragon tattoos would win the fans over. He did present Killian as a genius, which is one thing I kept hearing about the Mandarin (I haven't read Iron Man's comics, I picked that up from discussion in the forums). Those qualities are likely what gave Black confidence that fans would unilaterally enjoy his twist.

I think it could have been two things. First, everyone else is doing it, so let's put a fake villain too. Second, most people laugh and appreciate simply any attempt at comedy, appropriate or not.
