the 10 minutes of Peggy will be nice and good closure of the last movie, but I'm much more concerned with the entire Winter Soldier part with his past coming back /Crossbones/Hydra resurgence possibilities/AIM tie in possibilities/ and this movie basically blowing up Phase 2!!!

The Winter Soldier storyline is awesome so this movie has the potential to be the best MCU solo movie for phase 2.

Agreed, Ms. Marvel. Brubaker's CA run was so frikkin' consistently good for so long. Some of the most underrated superhero stories of the modern era. The fact that they were able to take some very questionable story ideas (Bucky's resurrection, Cap's death, "time travel bullets") and turn them into some extremely well done comics is quite a feat.

Yeah, I'm not a comic reader so I really only know the bare minimums of the Winter Soldier storyline, but on top of it looking so interesting as a movie story itself, on top of all the other Phase 2 ramifications I cannot wait at all for this to come out!

on the other hand it is a shame that there are quite a few excellent actresses in the range of 80-90 that would have done a terriffic job and are more than worthy a role in a big blockbuster movie, still MS decided against that.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to see Peg again. Her relationship with Cap was one of the highlights in Phase 1 for me and. one of the things the Ultimates did. very well was their reunion so there is definatly potential for a couple of very sweet scenes
You liked skinny Steve right? I can see Haley as an aged Peggy no problem

I was able to find the 3 omnibuses of Brubaker's CA on eBay last October and November and am glad I did. Some of the best CA storylines in my very limited reading of CA and other Marvel comics. Really hope they can translate what made that run so special for live-action.

If any of you are looking to buy the complete Winter Soldier arc, in the UK last year a long series of monthly Marvel graphic novel collections was published and WS was one of them, along with with art, backstory etc. There's tons of copies on Ebay

Aside from the Russians, this movie has a lot of the characters that are in the WS storyline.....

Here's the link to the first volume on Amazon, which should have info about the numbering. Also, check with your library; often times they are stocked with tons of TPB collections.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but was Winter Soldier Brubaker's first Cap story?

Anyways, I do recommend the Captain America omnibus. I've read it I don't know how many times. It's pricey, I think I paid around $60 for it. But it's incredible. I have the first volume that collects #1-25.

Also, Brubaker's run should be on Marvel Unlimited as well. If you have a subscription to that service, that's a great way to catch up.

There are no links. Use a torrent site and if that doesn't work use DC++. I'm not going to tell you to go out and buy the **** because quite honestly you should read it before deciding whether you like it enough to spend upwards of $60 on trades.

I believe Winter Soldier was Brubakers first Cap story followed by Red Menace if memory serves.

I was able to buy all 3 omnibuses for an average of about $45 dollars on eBay. That was really a bargain considering I've seen the first 2 go for over $100 each due to them being out of print. The 3rd omnibus can typically be found rather easily since it is somewhat new and there are still plenty of copies in the marketplace. As of now, there are couple auctions eBay for the 3rd omnibus where you can get it for about $30 and that even includes S&H.

He started with "Out of Time," which introduced WS, and then "Winter Soldier."

Captain America, Vol. 1: Winter Soldier Ultimate Collection

Collects Cap #1-9 & #11-14 (issue 10 is the unrelated House of M tie in). Should be good to get you started.

Or if you don't mind buying used the same issues are collected in these two volumes.

Or the above mentioned omnibus is a good choice too, but those are a little pricey for me. It has the first 25 issues plus a few extras.

Here's a list of the story arcs & various collections, no detailed plot info but you can google the story titles from here and find everything you need.

They are actually following up the Peggy storyline. The return of Hayley Atwell.

It would have been a travesty if they left the finest romance in the MCU hanging. Plus the short is confirmed. Yeah, this has over taken TDW for my most anticipated of Phase 2. Still think there are going to be flashbacks in the film as well.

That's crazy.... I'm sure The Avengers will pick up right where things left off with Stark/Banner.

This whole situation makes that they cut out Cap's original intro in the Avengers (for me the best scene filmed for the movie) even more annoying for me. A perfect lead-in imo.

you think they'll start this one off with the Peggy/Steve reunion or save it for somewhere near the middle when his past (Bucky/Hydra) come rushing back to him?
