did prof. hamill die in the movie? or am I missing something...he is in the same ship Hardy is right?...and I only see Lois falling down and being rescued by supes... it kinda sucks that he would be in this for just one movie...

Yeah, it's not a perfect movie, but I really did enjoy it quite a bit. It's almost difficult to put into words because, on the one hand, action on that level is my cup of tea; on the other hand, it felt a little overwhelming at times. I do think the movie had a lot of heart (unlike what some critics have been saying), but in some ways, those rare quiet moments were overshadowed by all the spectacle. They were definitely there though.

I'm sure you'll enjoy it if you're not expecting it to be "the best movie ever made in the whole entire world". It still very much to me a very Superman movie.

I have to say I really need to see this film again though. I was so excited last night, I hardly slept a wink and had to sort of white knuckle it through the day. For anyone who has yet to see MOS, I highly recommend getting some rest prior to your viewing. It's a lot to take in.

Thanks! You never know. There's a strong chance you'll like it. What are you worried about the most, in particular?

did it bother you guys that when the phantom zone is activated, it seemed to suck all the kriptonians in, but not Lois?...she just fell and the phantom zone was right there behind her

I've been waiting over a year for Last of Us...and it's on my playstation right now, and i can barely play it (even though it's awesome) because I'm still in awe over MOS, I'm in such a buzz right now and I hate myself for it.

Exactly. I would have edited 5 minutes of constant fighting or other unnecessary long scenes like the one in which we see the kryptonian space ship being sent into the Phantom Zone to make more time to the quiet moments between characters, like...
Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
the Lois and Clark graveyard scene, which was a pivotal point in their new dynamic.

It started sucking things little by little, not all at once, Lois was falling off and she was out of reach for those brief moments, but once superman caughts her he struggles to get out of it's ratio.

Agreed. I wish they would've parsed through some of the ways Martha and Jonathan helped young Clark get a handle on his abilities as well -- to an extent at least. I liked the scene where Martha helped him calm down with soothing words and such, but his sudden recovery felt almost too effortless in my opinion.

I'm gonna be all up in it on Sunday. Just watched the London premier on sky. I'm going to get good and messy before my viewing.

Anyway, Cavill definitely sold me on the character. He IS Superman for this generation.

@ArmsHeldOut hell yes.

Btw have you guys discussed why Clark didn't put on the nerdy persona at the Planet? Different approach I'm guessing..?

Yeah, maybe. It might be more like Byrne's interpretation.
