Entertainment Weekly is practicing some dishonest journalism there. Is it owned by Luthor?

I mean they were so desperate to prove their point......the same freaking page lol. Unreal.

I love the ending. It was the only way to get out of such a situation. It also gives great material for a sequel.

I really don't understand how casting someone out into oblivion is functionally different than just killing them.

Um, the EW article doesn't deny the fact that Superman killed someone.

I was having an interesting conversation with someone regarding the beginning of MOS on Krypton. They made an interesting point about how the council doesn't punish Lara for breaking the law of natural birth or react to the codex being stolen by her husband. I couldn't honestly think of why this is, but maybe somebody here is smart enough to figure it out.

- Jor-El is dead, how would you be able to punish him for stealing the codex? Even then I think she agreed with making Kal-El hold the key to reviving her race. Though it's made clear that Kal-EL isn't interested in sacrificing Earth in order to have his gratification of a dead race revived.
- How would you prove that Lara had given natural birth if there was no child to connect the dots back to her?

Well I think they had bigger fish to fry with punishing the people trying to take over the world.

No they just cite superman's regret after killing someone he had too, as reason why this film can't do....the exact same thing.

It can't be Luthor. He has to do what it takes to make sure that a sequel comes to light, since that will be his time to shine!

Yeah, it didn't come off as a big deal, but no one else really knew except for Zod.

Maybe Lara was hiding out at home for 9 months, if it takes Kryptonians 9 months for a baby to develop...

Zod was a murderer and a terrorist committing genocide. I don't understand how anyone could reach a different conclusion. I was making bending gestures in the theater at him, waiting for Supes to bring him to justice for his sins. But even with that in mind, Zod says he was basically born to save his race, so it's not really his fault, it just reinforces the whole problem with Krypton's system of modified bloodlines.

Well Jor-El almost spilled the beans about a child to them. Zod tells Lara "you think your soon is safe, I will find him!" (he says it three times) with the council preset. I think Zod was right when he called the council members 'idiots'.
