Oh, duh. That's what I'm excited for.

I saw a sample of the HD version online and it kinda brings me back to the unfortunate manner in which Snyder chose to shoot this.

Even though it is HD, it is CONSTANTLY soft and out of focus because the camera is constantly shaking and moving or zooming. It looks good in motion but if you want to slow down and appreciate some of the shots you notice how much out of focus and softness there is.

This is something that cannot be corrected by a transfer, it is just the manner in which the film is shot.

Still looking forward to the extra features. Most interested in the suit and how they designed it and made it.

I desperately want to see the alternate suits they designed and if any made it beyond paper, would love to see cavill's screen test with the Reeve suit. Doubtful but that stuff fascinates me.

This is a day one buy, how could it not be!! Really. This movie was so ****ing epic, I was completely blown away. I guess I'm just lucky that these film-makers make films that I enjoy and don't get ****ed off at.
Some of the aguements about this film is laugh out loud crazy but I guess it's just different stokes for different folks.

I too was blown away, batfreak. I mean quite honestly all i wanted was a film where superman could finally demonstrate what he is capable of and snyder delivered that in spades. I can completely sympathize with the complaints and i think alot of them are valid but all in all i think it came down to what u wanted out of this movie. This movie gave me the badass superman ive wanted for years so im happy.

I agree. I first noticed that when the trailers were coming out and people were posting 'hi-res screencaps'. They didn't look hi-res at all because of the shooting style and Snyder specifically choosing an ultra grainy type of 35mm stock. Oh well.

Me too. Based on how long it took us to see Routh's screentest... We'll get it on the bluray. Based on how long it took us to see Bale's... See you in 9 years.

Why can't people just enjoy movies nowadays? They have to ****ing pick apart every single little thing. I wonder if kids watched "Creature from the Black Lagoon" in 1954, saying "BOOOOO that monster looks too fake!". You know, back when people actually went to the movies to have a good time. So annoying...

Wow, just saw this film on Bluray. That was fantastic. It felt a little too fast-paced for me and I couldn't breathe much but wow, what a thrill ride.

I think it's going to the long wait, like Bale's. Probably for when they want to double-dip again with some sort of box set.

Concerning alternate suit designs, I wouldn't expect to see much other than how they constructed the final suit.

This is what I've always wanted in a Superman movie. Nothing against the previous films (I own them all), I love them all in certain ways but MOS really kicked my little white arse when watching it in the theater. I have only seen it once and cannot wait till the blu ray release.
I was afraid of Snyder putting in too many slow motion shots but was really suprise that he didn't maybe he remembered that "Superman is faster than a speed bullitt" and kept with that motto. Ha ha,
Either way I f'ning love this film and are very hungry to see the next one with The Batman.
Snyder shoot balls to the wall action and I can only imagine what he will do with the Supermn vs Batman fights but for the time being I will have the blu ray to drool over for the mean time (and Arkham Origins game, he he).

Is it just me or is this is one heck of a staggered home release?

It's released in some countries already, the US won't get it more a few more weeks, and the UK doesn't seem to be getting it until December???

Like, are they trying to encourage people to download/torrent this film?

I had no idea about that until yesterday, when I saw on some home video forums some posters in other countries already reviewing their discs. The fu-...?

Too late.

But, I agree with you. Way too staggered.

SO. It seems that some of the blu-ray extra's have gotten online. I have seen gifs and photos from the "Small Characters-Legendary Roles" feature but no video.

I feel like Hollywood has really bastardized what used to be called "behind the scenes". Now it's basically setup like a interview session mixed with PR about how great it was to work with so and so, intercut with some occasional quick shots of on set footage. This is the main reason I stopped collecting movies a while ago. I prefer those b-roll footage as that's a proper look at how they made the movie and gives you a proper feeling of how it was on set.

Man, I feel like this movie is going to CLEAN UP on blu ray sales. Maybe not like the Avengers did, but I still predict big home video sales.

The extras has leaked online, that's a fact..but that's something missing..
We can only find: All-Out Action, Strong Characters Legendary Roles and Krypton decoded..Does that means that not everything has been put online or that Planet Krypton and Journey of Discovery: Creating “Man of Steel” won't come out for homevideo as they announced months ago?
