Default Official X-Men Movie Timeline

We now have official dates it seems. And can follow the appearances of individual characters across the time-stream.

Do you have a better quality copy of this?

From what I've squinted to see, doesn't look like it addresses any of the gaping plot holes, rather just says who is in what

The timeline shows that the "gaping" plot holes don't affect the timeline.

Xavier Walking is pretty much the only big one. Things like McCoy in X2 and Quicksilver in Origins were little fan service Easter eggs, clearly not canon, and lines of dialogue like Xavier saying
Magneto helped him build Cerebro are ambiguous, he could've helped him build the Cerebro in the mansion, if not it's just one line and doesn't affect anything outside of that one line

Haven't got a bigger quality pic, sorry.

I don't think you can just dismiss things like Quicksilver and Hank being in the wrong place in the timeline, at least not if you want to create an over-arcing plot.

But I was willing to overlook that sort of thing anyway. Xavier walking, and the complete absence of a big friendship between X & M are my biggest issues

Well this was before making an over-arching plot was a thing. Back then there were lots of little nods and Easters eggs in CBMs just for fans to appreciate

How do you mean? They were friends in First Class and kind-of frenemies in the rest

X1-3 builds up their friendship as this almost brotherly bond which went awry, whereas in First Class they know each other for what, a week? And then Magneto takes Xavier's adopted sister and deflects a bullet into his spine. I'd be pretty mad

Is there something about it's official or created by Empire?

Not entirely sure, but I'm sure they would have asked about it when they were interviewing Singer etc.

Seems to have specific dates, too specific for Empire to just make it up imo

Well that's not a plot hole so much as a difference from the comics.

Plus I actually felt they were friends in first class. Dont forget it would have taken place over several weeks/months for the initial meet to finding mutants to then training them to the final fight. Plus the scene where xavier finds the memory for magneto... bonded for life ;( haha

The infograph is wrong? States Last Stand events is 2007, in the prologue Jean grey meets Xavier and Erik twenty years before Last Stand? That would be 1987 not 1981.

Once again, if someone says 20 years ago, it isn't perfectly 20 years ago. If you look at cars in that scene, that are late 70's cars, so scene better fits to 1981 than 1987.

If in 2013 your parents talk to you ,,20 years ago was like this and that", it doesn't mean perfectly it was in 1993, but around this, some period of time.
If you still don't understand, I won't try to explain it to you more (don't know if you don't understand, or you don't want to understand), because my English isn't good enough.

That is wrong. It affects the entire plot of X2. Magneto knows Cerebro because he helped him build it. Stryker gets info from Magneto in his plastic cell. Stryker is then able to reassemble his own Cerebro. Magneto later reassembles Cerebro and targets the humans. Remember...this is important

I have said this before.a easy way out Is magneto helped Xavier rebuild Cerebro
In mansion before cuba.

If Teenage Cyclops Is In Apocalyps then It has to be set around 1987 since
that Is when the bulk of Origins took place.

It seems like they are retconning events of Origins to be speard across the years to better match up other films.

1975-when wolverine and Sabretooth recruited
1979-the mission where wolverine left-even though film makes it seem like the team X Mission Is shortly after their recruitment
1987-even though film says six years later it's now 8 years later

X-Men Is now now taking place In 2005 18 years after end of Origins that better matter 15 years ago comment by wolverine plus It's easier to go that CYclops was 16 In Origins and 34 In X-Men.If you go Jean was 10 In prologue of last stand that can make her same age as cyclops.

For someone who doesn't want to understand and always just seek a gap where the hedge is whole, it doesn't help.
For me it works fine, in trailer we saw explosion of cerebro, it sure they will rebuild it.
Jean was 12 in begin scene of TLS.

Ok, what I understand from the timeline is that, in the AoA movie, that will probably happen in the 80's (or at least I hope so...) we will have a younger Jean and Scott along with Gambit...well if so, bring it on already!

But, honestly HOW?

I'll never understand the massive head scratching confusion when it comes to the timeline of this series. It's pretty straight forward. And Empire did a great job laying it out.

I just think some people will never be satisfied. It's like when they say things like "GAPING plot holes!!" Uh, no... Sorry.

Y'all just want every last millisecond documented and analyzed. You're never gonna get that... and it's simply not needed.

If the timeline of this series genuinely confuses you, and having it all laid out "doesn't help" and only "adds more questions", then I'm sorry to be blunt, but you simply WANT to feel that way.
