Episode 9.03 of Supernatural will be called "I'm No Angel".

It will feature a character called Bartholomew who is a bureaucrat angel sent to organize the angels.

it doesn't need to be a period piece. it can be set in today's time and focus on getting the men of letters organisation back up and running.

I don't even want a spin off, honestly.

This new character that they're giving their own series must be important. The fact that they're making a spin-off for an unknown as opposed to an already established character must mean something big.

I'm interested to see the character themself, but not really the spin off.

Would much rather get that long promised Colt spin-off

A video from Comicon tells us Charlie's back in an episode that deals with the first Men of Letters case involving the Wizard of Oz.

They should develop a CASTIEL Video Game instead of a spin off! Imagine going with Cass to Earth in his vessel, the in Heaven and in Hell with his angelic form! That would be wicked! Fighting demons and all that.

She'll make it through season 9, after that it might get sketchy.

A general Supernatural game in vein of something like The Last of Us would be really cool. You would be able to switch between playing as Sam or Dean and work with the AI getting clues, and figuring out what type of monster you're hunting etc... And maybe have Bobby and Castiel-centric levels too, of course it would be filled with classic rock.

It's always possible to keep going although I would hope they quit before they over stay their welcome (X-Files, Seinfeld, The Simpsons and Family Guy [as some say], etc) and bow out at a good point in their run, which some people think is already past them.

It really depends on how much story they have left to tell.

I think the show is still good for something that's been around for soon to be nine seasons.

They can keep going 20 years or this next season can be their last. I have no idea where their run should or will end but I hope they know it when they see it instead of driving past it.

‘Supernatural’ Planted Spinoff A Go As Episode Next Spring, To Explore Clash Of Hunter & Monster Cultures In Chicago
By NELLIE ANDREEVA

The long-gestating spinoff from veteran CW drama Supernatural is moving forward as a backdoor pilot to air as an episode of Supernatural‘s upcoming ninth season. To be written by Supernatural supervising producer Andrew Dabb, the planted spinoff, in early stages of development, won’t be as nomadic as the mothership series, which takes place in a different town every week. It will explore the clashing hunter and monster cultures of Chicago.

I'm fine with the show going as long as it can as long as it maintains at least the quality of season 8. If it dips back into season 7 quality it will be time to bring in a new creative team or pull the plug.

I see it as a contingency. Carver still has his season 10 goal, but if The CW wants keep going forward with it, they'll be more prepared for another season than they were for season 6.

At a certain point, I'm sure Jared and Jensen are going to want to throw in the towel.

I think they're in it for however long the show goes, they've both got kids now and it's a steady paycheck.

^This. They love working with each other and seem to have fun. That's a job you want to hold on to. And honestly I don't seem them breaking into film so short of an offer on HBO I'm not sure how leaving Supernatural would benefit them unless its to stretch their range, but if it back fires Supernatural is gone and they are out a paycheck. They need to stay where they are as long as they are having fun.
