That's all the "explanation" you need for the yellow oval- just show its use.
Sold.

i wouldn't mind a circular logo as long as the Batman part of the film has a 70s/80's Batman tone!

My wish list for the suit...

- Keep the "motorcycle helmet" cowl developed for Dark Knight, fixing the "neck" issue we've faced forever.
- Gray color to the suit, like we see so often in comics. I'm dead tired of black on black. Dark gray would blur into the darkness just as well, but stand out in the light more.
- Take cues from the Arkham video games. A Kevlar texture to the armor.
- Functional, maybe bulkier utility belt. They've too often been just window dressing.

I don't know about this. I'd like a Watchmen approach. With a cowl that can actually be pulled back. I don't want the "helmet" anymore.

Totally, but I think if we get grey, we won't get any blue. I was never a fan of the blue anyway to be honest.

The Blue would only work with gray. I couldn't imagine the blue otherwise.

I wouldn't mind that over a kevlar type of material. It might be a little much over the tights.

I would be very surprised if they keep the trunks on Batman but not on Superman.

Not to offend anyone, but I always though that the trunks with a thick utility belt on Batman would kind of look like a diaper in live-action. I'd rather not go down that road. It was a lot to take with Superman, heh.

It'd be cool if the oval stayed dark while Batman is sneaking up on people, then he can turn the symbol light on just before kicking ass and surprise people with that

The oval on the Batman Incorporated suit did illuminate in just that way.

Batman hasn't had trunks in live-action since the Adam West days.

I doubt Snyder would change that now.

Definitely no trunks. But I wouldn't mind if he has some form of protection down there.

The obvious Bat-cup/cod-piece is even worse than trunks in my opinion.

It's like a target. Maybe keeping it on the inside would work better.

Eh, I'm not too keen on the yellow oval. And I have a feeling that Snyder will lift a lot from the Dark Knight Returns costume, which would make me very happy.
