Besides Ron Perlman, Idris Elba, and to some extent, Charlie Day's character, most of the characters are uninteresting. But the action is amazing and the visual effects and 3D are outstanding.

Too bad PR looks like it isn't going to do so hot with Variety reporting that its only tracking at a 25-35 million dollar opening.
This film's saving grace is going to be it's international bo profit.
Reviews have been good, so there's that I guess.

The initial estimate for Tuesday is 1.5 for MOS.

I personally hope those domestic numbers are wrong, but we'll have to wait and see. Those predicted numbers are about on-par with Boxoffice.com's numbers.

If PR does bad than giving it the mid July date will look even more foolish.

DM2 should stay #1. I guess GrownUps 2 will come in second. Third for PR?

Once MOS goes under 1 mill per day, it will seem like a crawl.

Pacific Rim's OS BO will smash. I'm hoping it does TASM numbers.

I think PR is the only large scale movie released this week. Another animated film comes out on Wed.

Because the OS market is huge for that Godzilla-like movie genre.

Mhm. Pacific Rim's only hope for a decent profit is overseas & I'm sure WB is hoping for that.

It's passable. It's about as good as it was going to be. Nothing more, nothing less.

I can't get over the fact that Jeremy Jahns gave it a glowing review. He's really critical when it comes to heavy action and no character development. Really pumped for this movie now.

I don't live overseas, obviously('Murica!!), but I'm pretty sure some international users on here have said that PR has been marketed better over there than MOS.

Is the story just as much as it has in the trailer? You know... there are monsters... so we create monsters to fight monster. That's it?
