To be frank I think they don't stream the panels because they want the events to be exclusive to the con. Quite a few times I've read that withholding trailers and footage screened at conventions from the GA is done so that people who attend in person get exclusive access to it. In other words, attendees get to see things that everyone else can't.

On the one hand, it makes some sense to reward people for actually going to the con, but on the other hand, that is a very tiny audience and only a small fraction of conventioneers can even attend each panel. When studios are trying to generate buzz for their movies and shows, it doesn't make sense to show previews to just a few hundred people in a convention hall when they need to get millions of people interested.

After exchanging a few tense stairs, they decide that Tony can probably handle it on his own.

Then nobody would GO to SDCC. They release SOME video but if they show ALL of it at the time, then there wouldn't be a lot of ticket sales

Are you serious? SDCC is sold out basically a year in advance and the majority of those people who get in won't even see the panels.

The convention is much bigger than just the Hall H presentations. There's no way people are paying that much money (pass, travel, accomodations) on the off chance they get into the exclusive panels.

My guess is that it's up to the studios more than the convention on why that content isn't made available.

Yeah, SDCC is an event with a huge following really from all genres now. Not just the mainstream comic industry. It would sellout regardless. I want to go someday just to be able to experience it for myself.

And the studios are rewarding those dedicated fans who are willing to spend a lot more time, money and energy to follow these comics and films than those of us who just sit and wait for stuff to stream freely across our computer screens.

Can't blame 'em for that.

Yup, I find it laughable when some fanboys have the nerve to complain about not having access readily to the con exclusives.

Just ignore Alex Mann, he keeps trolling in all different parts of the board. Talking as if he's some exclusive news holder about trailers at comic con.

No, I agree.
Obviously, I'd love to have the footage released so I could watch it, too but it's the studio who gets to decide what we see and when.

Looks like we non-Cons might get a glimpse of something after all.

From July 30th through to August 1st, the Disney XD channel is to play host to Disney Fandom, a series of special shows. Most of them seem a little less than exciting, including a Star Wars special episode of Joey Fatone cookery show My Family Recipe Rocks, but there’s definitely some gems.

From the Disney side of the family, we’re being promised previews of Planes and Frozen, likely including some new footage. And then, from the Marvel camp, there’s going to be Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Thor: The Dark World and even Guardians of the Galaxy promos.

If this is like what they did last year, the "shows" will be little presentations hosted by kid stars from Disney programs. Short on footage, long on tween goofiness and promos for their boring live-action stuff. But it's better than nothing.

G4 used to have coverage of SDCC that occasionally had good interviews with stars and studio people. They never showed anything from inside the panels, though. It was the only thing G4 was ever good for, but now that the channel is set to die and be replaced by a lad's mag network they don't do that kind of programming anymore.

So, since filming is almost over and some kind of trailer at SDCC is very possible, what would you want to see? Personally I hope for Crossbones in costume, since we haven't seen that in the set pics and would be something new

I feel like they're going to go the Kurse route with CB, which means we won't see him until the final trailer, probably. First trailer will probably be focused on WS.

I wouldn't think so. The "secrecy" around Kurse could be ascribed to CGI that they're still working on. Crossbones' costume is as simple as it gets, and there's no real reason to keep his identity hidden from audiences.

Part of my reasoning is that they need to keep it simple in the first trailer. Just give the highlight of the plot, which means WS should be front and center.

Not saying CB definitely won't be shown, but I'm thinking they'll save him for later to keep it from seeming overcrowded.
