Me too. Someone mentioned that Snyder does do director and extended cuts, so I'm hoping we get one. I would certainly pony-up some cash for it.

So add that to baby Kal El's super sneeze and Aaron Smolinski's cameo been cut abd there's proof that there's definite cut scenes.

He did ones for Watchmen and Sucker Punch definitely, possible Dawn Of The Dead too, so here's hoping he does an MOS one some day. Would love it.

Very true ! The Watchmen Directors cut is definitely the version to watch,
it fills in a lot of gaps that were in the cinematic release. Really, it should have been 2 films.

Anyway, who knows - Nolan's not really known for director's cuts or deleted scenes, but who can say. I would still pay to see an MOS director's cut though, no doubt about that.

Superman Homepage interviewed him on Radio KAL Live and he said he had a line as one of the soldiers just before Faora's ship shows up. Something about a bogey coming in. We also know when they filmed this scene Faora had some dialogue cut as the original report said, she said I am incapable of emotion. Which of course isn't in the film.

The Watchmen DC was indeed awesome, the best version of that film easily. Would love to see what Snyder would do with a DC of MOS.

It all depends on how much is on the cutting room for so far we only know of one full scene and a few snippets here and there that aren't in the final edit. These things may not add too much to the overall film.

Infact I just thought of another line that was cut when Zod appears out of the rubble they definitely filmed Superman saying stay back to Lois, Perry etc. Its on the making interactive extra that's on the US blu ray of MOS.

There's also a sequence we definitely know was cut is more scenes inside the oil rig. It is the scene with Cavill wearing a wife-beater. There are stills from that scene, footage of the filming, Cavill working out for that scene, set footage of that scene and Cavill even talking about it in interviews but the scene is not in the film itself!

Time to remember one more of the little things that made up the immense greatness that was MOS.

Okay, remember that bit where Jor El comes running out of the council chamber, rifle in hand, then he slows to a halt, stunned by the eruption of cataclysmic civil war on Krypton.

I call that shot, of him just looking at the fighting in absolute dismay the "**** gets real on Krypton" shot. Crowe just owns that moment, his face conveys precisely what the character's thinking, that the end has really come, that Krypton is doomed, not just the planet but their whole way of life. It's like he intellectually knew it was over before that moment, but now he knows it in his soul.
He pauses, just for a second and looks at the destruction, before calling for his trusty
steed. If you look at his face, you know he's made up his mind, even more than before, that his plan to send Kal-El and the codex off-world is the right thing to do.

Personally, I don't think Crowe got enough credit for his portrayal as Jor-El. He had to be as cerebral as Brando, and kick ass, which would be a tall order for anyone.
But Crowe was the man for the job. If you watch the Graham NOrton interview with Cavill, Crowe and Adams, it turns out the Cavill had met Crowe, many years before MOS as a boy at boarding school, and had asked him for some advice, after Crowe had dropped by to watch a rugby match. It's a good story.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5g0X2eIoJio

here's an article about it : http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/even...-Superman.html

So,So, there's a story behind the story, and just another reason that MOS was great !

Seriously, I didn't think I'd like Crowe as Jor-El or Costner as Jonathan Kent, and I didn't--I LOVED them in their respective roles.

Great casting by Snyder.

I came across this while browsing Youtube, and it's somewhat of a re-edit of superman's first flying sequence.

Granted, I'm not a fan of the beginning of the video, since the user used brando's voice over instead of Russell's, the part that caught my attention starts at the 0:42 second mark.

Based on the way the person edited, it definitely gave a new mood to the sequence for me, in a way...especially when they inserted a shot of Superman smiling when soaring up before cross-fading it with the remainder of the flying sequence. I'm not sure how to word it, but it definitely made it feel like superman was flew around a lot longer once he took off and realized he could fly.

Plus, I'm a fan of the color edit made to it.

VIDEO-CLick to Watch!:

^It holds up very well on repeat viewings, and actually gets better with them as well.

Watched it in 3D on friday for the 1st time since the cinema, I didnt enjoy it as much though, just dont think the movie is suited to the format. That said, not many are, I have only ever really enjoyed Avatar, Transformers 3, Dredd and Gravity in 3D.

2D is the way forward with this movie for me.
